[Christian’s POV]

“Good morning sir. Your secretary is already in your office.” Liza said when I reached my floor. Two weeks na din kasi ang nakalipas na wala akong secretary, si daddy kasi mismo ang naghanap kaya medyo naging metikuloso siya.

“Okay. Thank you.” I said to her. Tapos iniwan ko na siya dun sa elevator. Naglakad na ko papunta dun sa office ko. Yung mga tao sa floor, nag-‘good morning’ sa’kin. I greeted them also.

Nakausap ko na kaninang umaga si Ella. Groggy pa yung boses niya since may time difference nga, mas mauuna ang oras ng Pilipinas kaysa sa Paris. Siya naman nagsabi na tawagan ko siya bago ako pumasok e. Tatawag din daw siya bago siya pumasok mamaya.

Pumasok na ko sa office ko, nakita ko yung secretary ko na inaayos yung table ko, so nakatalikod siya, meron ng coffee sa desk ko. Pero napakunot yung noo ko, akala ko lalaki ang kukuning secretary ko? E nakapalda ‘to e. I cleared my throat to get her attention. Napaharap naman siya sa’kin.

“Good morning Mr. Elizalde.” She said in an overly sweet tone.

“Vivien, what are you doing here?” I asked her.

“I’m your secretary, Mr. Elizalde or would you prefer Ian?”

“No. Just go out of my office. I need to call somebody.”

“Okay sir.” And with that she walked out.

Dumiretso ako sa desk ko at tinawagan ang office ng daddy ko. I need an explanation kung bakit nandito si Vivien. Sa pagkakaalam ko, nag-aaral pa lang yun.

“Hello”

(Yes sir, your father is still in a meeting. Can I take a message?) Alam na nila agad na ako yung tumatawag. That’s an executive privilege.

“No. Please direct me to Liza.”

(In a moment sir.)

Maya-maya lang, si Liza na ang nasa kabilang linya.

“Liza, I asked for a male secretary. What is this girl doing here?”

(Sir, your father doesn’t want a male secretary for you. He told me that your personalities may clash, so he personally picked Vivien dela Rosa for you.)
