"Okay, so who's next?" Louis asked with a look of genuine curiosity,

"There was this girl," Bree started, "she was kind of...bitchy even to them. She kept flicking her hair over her shoulders like it was some kind of weapon." Bree shuddered jokingly and giggled. "Her eyes were blue like Jace's,except not so...so..."

"Electric?" Louis suggested with a wink.

Bree turned her head trying furiously to hide her blush, well aware that she had used that exact word to describe Jace's eyes. "Um yeah exactly." Louis just laughed as he continued to sketch with his coloured pencils. Bree glanced sideways at Jace noticing that he was looking at her with an adorably confused expression.

"What's up?" he asked. Bree didn't reply, thankful that he had no idea why she would be blushing.

"What's next, kiddo?" Louis asked, drawing her attention back to him.

"Uhhh..she's tiny. Like as in super model slim and from what I could tell of her sitting down I think she would defiantly be taller than me. That's it really, she seemed to think she was amazing but she didn't look like anything special to me." Bree finished honestly.

Again Louis put the canvas down and picked up a blank one. He then looked at Bree expectantly.

"The next guy hmm..oh! He was the one who looked like a rat..."

Jace sat quietly, one part of his brain attentively listening to Bree's description of the red headed 'rat boy' while the other was focused on just watching her. it amazed him how comfortable she had gotten with Louis, how bright and weightless she looked. 'This is the girl I imagined when I saw her in the hospital bed,' Jace though firmly.

Before he knew it Bree was finished describing the youngest boy - who she'd dubbed 'baby face' both because he was the youngest looking and because he had a round baby like face.

Letting out a deep sigh Bree asked cautiously, "Can I see them?" Louis simply beamed at her and one by one placed the canvases on the ledge of the window looking into his office. Bree gasped. staring back at her were the exact four faces that she'd encountered in the woods. "Louis," she exclaimed, "they're amazing!"

Louis faked hurt. "Did you expect something less?" He questioned laughing.

Bree blushes slightly and then the door opened and Jace's father walked in. "Done?"

"Done." Louis confirmed. Henry nodded and moved to collect the canvases.

"What do I do now?" Bree asked as Jace grabbed her hand. Regardless of whether Jace meant the gesture in a reassuring way Bree still took comfort in it.

"You wait." Henry replied, "You stay low and you wait. You definitely don't do anything stupid. The last thing I need is your funny business messing up our search."

After Henry left and they said their goodbyes to Louis, Jace walked Bree to her apartment. "Get some rest, okay?" He raised his hand to tuck a stray stand of hair behind her eyes and she nodded. Gently, he kissed the tip of her nose and informed her that he would be back later that night.

Bree woke up to a knocking on her door. Rubbing her eyes tiredly she tugged open the door.

The minute the door opened Jace's heart stopped. He couldn't exactly pin point when he'd started falling for the firecracker standing in front of him but watching her rub her eyes in the most adorable way he'd ever seen with her hair ruffled from sleep made him realize he really didn't care.

"Come with me." He whispered huskily.

"What?" Bree moaned, obviously not fully awake.

"Get dressed, get ready and then come with me." he explained vaguely.

'Where?" Bree's forehead wrinkled. the thumping of Jace's heart made him even more certain of what he was planning to do.

"Bree, please." he pleaded.

She made a humph noise and turned on her heel heading back down the hallway but leaving the door wide for him. Jace settled on the couch to wait for Bree.

What do you think Jace going to do?
