I open my eyes weakly. This plain ceiling wall doesn't get any more comforting than this. I feel numb almost. It's not long before the pain kicks back in and reminds me that I'm actually alive. It's not long before I realize I can't move out of this bed.

A familiar scent fills my nose. It's North's sweet perfume. I smile. It gets better when I know I'm not alone. It gets better when I know she's here for me, trying her best to get me better.

A light snore almost throws me off until I turn my head and see her slumped in the big chair sleeping. She's in a black lady suit and her hair is up in bun that's now a little messed up. Her mouth is slightly open and her head is cocked to the side. I wonder how long she's been here watching me sleep until she dozed. She looks so peaceful and lovely.

She has black folders in her hand. I'm slightly curious.

North inhales hard and winds up coughing slightly. She wakes herself up and rubs her eyes. The folders fall over her lap and she groans softly. She should probably go home and get some sleep. She's always telling me how I need rest, but does she ever get any herself?

"Hey sleepy head." I said, reaching and pushing the button to raise my bed.

She looks at me with irritated slightly puffed eyes and a small smile.

"Hey ..." She replied.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

"I don't even know anymore. I fell asleep without realizing," She said. "How are you feeling?"

"Eh. Okay, I guess. Just a little stiff and my head is itching." I said. "What about you?"

She shrugged, "Work was fine. Wasn't much to do today so,"

"What's up with the folders?" I asked.

She looked down at them, "Oh, these are résumés from your potential psychologists. I've met with all of them, but I feel like you should choose because it is your therapy. Obliviously I mentally chose the person I want for you, but ..."

I sighed, "Yeah. This should be fun."

"I know, I know, but the sooner you get a therapist and a gym you'll be out of here sooner." She said softly.

"Am I going to need to learn how to walk again and shit? I don't think I got hit to that impact, right?" I asked.

"You should be able to walk. Your legs aren't the problem, it's your head and back." She answered.

I yawned, "Guess you could hand over the folders. Do I have to look at all them now?"

"Just look at one or two for right now. You just woke up so don't stress your mind out with this now." She replied handing them over to me.

I grab the smooth cold folders gently from her hands. I set them down on my lap and turn my head back to her. She blows me a kiss. I smile.

"I'm starving." I said.

"Do you want me to order food? There's good places around here." She said.
