Allie
[Five years later]
"Babe!"
"Yes North," I said appearing from behind her. "I'm right here."
"Oh. What do you think about this color?" She asked holding up a very soft orange piece of paper.
"It's okay," I answered. "Still think a soft red or yellow would look better."
She groaned, "We're never going to find a color we agree on. We need to get this done!"
I kiss her cheek and say, "Babe, you're literally fighting with yourself on this."
"I just want something nice."
"We have time. We have like one month. Stop stressing yourself out."
She turns around to me revealing her slightly chubby face and belly. I smile, staring into her eyes. She's been frustrated about getting the nursery done ever since she got pregnant. We kinda do have to stress out though ... one month isn't a long time to build a nursery that hasn't been started. I won't tell her that though ... or admit we've been bullshitting all this time.
I smirked, "You're cute when you're frustrated."
"This is serious. One month isn't enough time. We've been wasting time." She said dryly.
I place my hands on her belly. It's like a swollen basketball, "Norllie thinks you need to take a deep breath and call her grandmother for her opinion and hire people to get this done."
"Which grandmother?" She asked.
"My Mom because Mya has no sense of color theory." I said.
She sighed, "Yeah probably."
I rub her belly and kiss her forehead. A pregnant North is basically business woman North dialed up to eleven. She's super critical about everything and she spends her time reading parenting books. She's enthusiastic about having a kid ... in her own weird way.
Our sex life is pretty dull now because her stomach gets in the way and she doesn't like the idea of sex with a big stomach. I, on the other hand, don't care. I still see her as the same hot girl I originally fell in love with years ago. If anything, the weight she put on is sexy.
"Do you think we should get remarried when she gets older? You know, renew our vows?" She asked.
I chuckled, "Still stuck on how amazing our wedding was?"
She smiled and bumped her stomach against mine, "I am. I will never forget that day."
"It definitely lived up to the hype. Let's get out of this room so you won't drive yourself crazy anymore. You need to rest."
She frowned, "I'm always resting now."
"Yeah, but you tend to get grumpy really fast so let's go watch T.V. and finish that box of pizza."
"Fine. Only because that pizza is really good."
I take her hand and lead her out of the nursery room. Our house is gorgeous. It doesn't look insanely rich from the inside, just how I like it. The decorations and stuff are classy and they match our minimal look. Its also a pretty big one floor house with a gigantic backyard that we turned into a nice hang out area along with a big pool.
North finally has her own room for her office, which is actually the guest room, but it was a necessary sacrifice. I was getting sick of hearing the keyboard and mouse click for the entire night. And I didn't even mention the printer and endless phone calls.
