Scream

The next day we all woke up really early so we could set up camp at the next stop and head into the next town today. I put on my sheath and headed out of the tent to hear Valerie already giving orders.
"-Take down the tents we leave in twenty! Breakfast will be on the road!" She said.
We took down the tents and started walking again. Valerie passed around breakfast, which was some chips. After breakfast Mike and I were talking.
He grabbed my hand. "How long do you think it's going to last?" He asked.
     "The zombie apocalypse?"
     "Yeah."
"If I had to guess, anywhere from one year to ten."
"So you think it will end?"
     "Yeah."
     "Why?"
"The zombies' bodies were at one point human. So, it would make sense that they would still deteriorate like human bodies. And, since the flesh decays pretty quickly when they transform, the decaying process would be faster than a human's."
"Will there be a skeleton apocalypse then?"
I didn't understand that he was joking. "No, the skeletons wouldn't have anything able to make them move on there ow-. Ohh, that was a joke. Wasn't it."
"Yeah." Mike and I both started laughing at the fact that I didn't get the joke.
We walked for four more hours before Valerie said, "We'll stop here for the night. Set up the tents. Jason, Mike, Angel, Claudia, and I will be heading into town in a half hour. At that time there will still be about two and a half hours of daylight left."
We set up the tents and the five of us got ready to leave. "We will be back!" Valerie said.
We walked for about twenty-five minutes before we saw a small town from the top of a hill. "Ok, we're going to split up into two groups," Valerie said. "Claudia and Jason, you're with me. We're heading to the drugstore for meds and to whatever store we can find that has blankets. Angel and Mike, you guys are heading to the store for food."
We all walked down the hill and split into our groups. There were zombies, but definitely not as many as the previous town. The drugstore was on the left side of the street, towards the front of town.
We walked into the drugstore to find about ten zombies. Maybe there are as many as the previous town. This time they're just indoors. We killed them pretty easily.
Once all the zombies were dead we got anything related to medical supplies that we could find. We left the store and started looking for somewhere that sold blankets.
We saw somewhere on the other side of the street. We ran over to it and went inside. We didn't see any zombies upon entry.
"I'm going to go look around for anything useful," Jason said. His bag was already full so we didn't need him to fill his bag.
Valerie and I went to go look for blankets. We found them fairly quickly.
"AAAAAAAAAHHH!" We heard as we had just finished filling my bag.
Valerie and I looked at each other. "Jason," we said in unison. We started running to where the scream had come from.
