"We're going to Yellowknife, we're going to Yellowknife," I heard Maggie singing as I slowly sat up. I put on my sheath and left the tent. Maggie continued singing.
"If I can't sing you're not allowed to either!" Angel exclaimed.
"I'm not doing it while everyone is trying to sleep!" Maggie said.
"No one else seemed to have a problem with it. You were just being rude and you woke everyone else up in the process!" Angel retorted.
"I don't like losing my brain cells!"
"You also don't like having fun!"
"I do, just not when I need to lose brain cells in the process!"
"It doesn't seem like it! I want to sleep in someone else's tent!"
"Fine go right ahead! You won't be missed!"
"Mark and Mike, do you mind if I share a tent with you guys?" Angel asked.
"Go right ahead. Hopefully we won't need to sleep in these tents much longer." Mike said. Mark nodded his head in agreement.
"Please, no more fighting." Valerie said.
We ate breakfast and we packed everything up to start walking again.
We walked for about two hours before a town came into view. "This town isn't Yellowknife, the next one over is." Valerie said.
"How far away are we?" Will asked. When he said this I looked over at him and I noticed Mark and Will were holding hands.
"About an hour away," Valerie said.
"Are we going to look for a long time place to stay today?" I asked.
"Hopefully I can find that house I mentioned a few days ago," Valerie said. "It looked big enough to house around ten people."
We walked for an hour and a half. Then, we saw a sign. It said:

You are now Entering:
Yellowknife

"We made it!" John exclaimed.
"About time," I said.
"Alright everyone. The house is off-white with blue shingles." Valerie said.
We walked around town for half an hour. "Is that it?" Mike said.
"Yes, it is!" Valerie said. We walked up the steps to the house. Valerie tried the turning the knob to open the door. "It's locked."
"Stand back," Mark said. He walked up to the door and kicked the handle. The door shot open.
"Good job," Angel said.
"I didn't know if it would work. I saw it in a movie once."
We walked inside. The house had high ceilings. The room we were in was the dining room.
"Claudia, go around the house and find all the bedrooms," Valerie said as she shut the front door.
"Got it," I said. I walked into the next room, the living room. Their was a stair case on the right side. I'll check the first floor just to make sure no bedrooms are down here. Then, I'll head up there to look.
I checked the first floor. There were no bedrooms. I walked up the steps. They creaked every time I stepped. I turned a corner and walked up more steps.
I reached the top. I was in a hallway. I could only turn left. There were a bunch of closed doors.
I started to walk down the hall. I opened the first door, bedroom. One. I opened the second door, bedroom. Two. I opened the third door, bathroom.
I opened the next three doors and all of them were bedrooms. Five. There was only one door left. I opened and there was a stair case. It was dark.
I rooted through my bag until I found my flashlight. I turned it on and I started walking up the steps. This must be the attic. When I reached the top I looked around. There was a queen size bed and a bunch of stuff you would find in a teenager's bedroom. A lot of people must of lived here if the attic had to be turned into a bedroom.
I walked back down both sets of steps and I rejoined the group in the kitchen. "How many rooms are there?" Valerie asked as I walked in.
"Five on the second floor and the attic has been turned into one," I said.
"One bed each?" Valerie asked.
"No. Three of the bedrooms on the second floor have two twin beds each. The rest all have one. They look about queen size." I responded.
"Claudia and Mike, will you two be okay to share a room together?" Valerie asked.
"I'm ok with it if Claudia is," Mike said.
"I'm ok with it," I said. "As long as it's one with twin beds."
"Mark and Will, would you guys also be ok with sharing a room?" Valerie asked.
"Can it be one with twin beds?" Will asked. Mark nodded his head in agreement.
"Since someone is going to have to do watch that would be enough rooms for everyone," I said.
"Good point," Valerie said.
We all walked around the house to figure out who would sleep where. Mike and I are the third bedroom down from where the steps are.
The rest of the day we told stories from before the apocalypse started. Then, we ate dinner and we went to our rooms.
"Goodnight Mike," I said. I gave him a kiss.
"Goodnight Claudia," he said. He kissed back.
We got into our beds and twenty minutes later I fell asleep.
