(A/N) Before I get on with the story I would like to say thank you for over 300 reads! I seriously can't say thank you guys enough! I would like to give shout outs to two of my dedicated readers. One of which is the person who got me to continue this story. Thank you so much to hellsangelinheaven and meb519 both of these people have been with me since the beginning. I know I've mentioned them before, but they deserve to get called out for sticking with me so long. Also, thank you to those of you who haven't made yourselves known, but have still been here since the beginning. hellsangelinheaven also commented on the last chapter. You also probably  noticed that I updated the cover. Personally I like the new one better. Now on with the story...

"I'll join." I said. "As long as we leave that note for my sister."
     "Of course," said Jack.
"I have a pen and paper right here," said Vivion.
"Thank you," I said as I grabbed the pen and paper. I leaned the paper against a wall and I started to write.

Dear Maggie,
I hope you don't take too much grief in hearing this. I have left your group and I've joined with others. Please don't try to find me. Mike will explain what happened between us. Know I still care about you and I wish you the best of luck.
Love,
Claudia

I just then realized Jack was reading the whole thing over my shoulder. "Hey!" I said. "Mind your business!"
"Meh." Jack said. "Get used to it. Let's get going."
"Do you know where the house is?" I asked.
"Yeah, I saw you leave it earlier." Jack said.

We walked for ten minutes. I saw the house I was staying at come into view. "Here I go," I said. I ran up to the house. I managed to wedge the paper in between the door and its frame.
"When do you think they'll be back?" I heard a voice that sounded like Maggie's say.
"Probably within the hour. They're probably just on one of their stupid dates." Valerie's voice said. If only you knew.
"I think I'll go look for them," Maggie said. I could heard her footsteps coming toward the door.
I ran as fast as my legs would carry me. I stopped and stood beside Jack. Just as I turned around I saw Maggie open the door. The note fell. She bent to pick it up and started reading it. I could tell she finished reading it when she walked back inside.
"Time to go, Claudia," Jack said. "Unless you're second guessing your decision."
"No, of course not," I responded. I turned to walk with them.

Twenty minutes later I saw someone standing outside a house. Jack, Paul, Sam, Lola, and Vivion turned to walk up to it.
"Hey, Brandon." Sam said. "We got a new one."
     "Good." was all Brandon said.
     "I'm Claudia," I said. "I'm guessing you're Brandon?"
"You're right about that," Brandon said. Brandon was tall with short light brown hair and brown eyes. "Let me show you around."
"What's the point if we're leaving tomorrow?" Jack asked.
"She needs to know her way around just in case," Brandon retorted.
"Ok, fine. Claudia give me your bag. I'll go through it and see what you have." Jack said. I was a little resilient but I complied.
"I'm keeping my knife though," I said.
"Of course, I figured that was obvious," Jack said. We all walked inside.
The house looked beautiful. It had high ceilings with dark, but not too dark blue walls. The house also sported wooden floors. We were in the foyer and to the right was a staircase and the left an entryway that looked to lead into a dining room.
"I'll show you where you'll be sleeping first then I'll show you the rest of the house," Brandon said.
He led me up the staircase to the second floor. It was a hall full of closed doors. "This is where Jack, Sam, Paul, and I sleep. You'll be sharing a room with Vivion if that's ok with you."
"Yeah, that's fine." I said.
Brandon led me up another staircase. When we reached the top he turned right and took a few paces down the hall to a closed door. "This is your room," he said. He opened the door.
The room was beautiful! It had dark red walls that went perfectly with the wooden floor. There were two twin sized beds across from each other. And a door that looked as if it would lead to a closet.
"This is your bed," Brandon said while walking toward the bed farthest from us.
"Thank you!" I said.
"I'll show you the rest of the house," Brandon said.
We left the room and he showed me what was behind the other three doors on the floor. One was Lola's room and the other two were storage.
On the second floor Brandon showed me all of the boys' rooms and the bathroom.
Once we got back to the first floor Brandon took me through the dining room to the living room, he briefly showed me the office area attached to the living room, and finally from the living room to the kitchen. Everyone was already in there.
"You can keep the clothes but we're going to split the food and medical supplies among everyone to carry," Jack said as he handed me a now lighter bag.
"The sun's setting, what are we eating?" Paul asked.
"Claudia," Jack said. "This won't hurt a bit...It'll hurt a lot." Jack turned to me with a knife in his hand. He started to approach me and I turned and ran.
I got to the foyer and I threw open the front door. I started sprinting down the steps. When I reached the bottom I turned in the direction that I thought my old group was staying at.
"Hey, Claudia! I promise to make this quick if you stopping running," I heard Jack say somewhere behind me.
I picked up speed. I can't run forever. I turned left around a corner. I turned left again, then right, right, left.
I leaned against a wall to try and catch my breathe. How could I of been this stupid? I looked around at my surroundings. I had never been in this part of town. Hopefully I lost Jack.
My hopes were soon to be demolished.
