I grabbed my knife and I ran toward the foyer, Maggie and Angel following directly behind me. When we reached the foyer there was a girl standing there. She had long, orange hair, like Ginny Weasley's from Harry Potter. She was wearing all black.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked walking up to her making sure she could see my knife.
"I'm Natalia, and master needs you, Claudia. He said you can come willing or by force." Natalia said. "And no one is to come with you."
"She's not going with you!" Maggie said.
"Try to stop me," Natalia said. Will and Mark came into the foyer.
Natalia walked up to me and grabbed my right arm, the arm not holding the knife. I tried to twist away, but her grip was too strong. Then, I tried to stab her arm, the one that was holding me.
Natalia grabbed the knife by the blade and she pulled it out of my hand. She tossed it aside. Her hand wasn't dripping blood like it should have been.
"What are you?" Angel asked.
"That isn't important to any of you," Natalia said. "I must be going now, master hates waiting."
Natalia pulled my arm, suddenly I felt arms around my waist. Angel was hold me back. "She's not going anywhere!" Angel yelled.
Maggie grabbed Angel's waist, Mark grabbed Maggie's, and Will grabbed Mark's. They all started pulling and I fell back toward them.
With one yank Natalia had me toward her again. "Being difficult I see," Natalia said. Natalia lifted her free hand and she made her hand to look like she was clutching something. Will suddenly let go of Mark and reached toward his neck. Mark immediately turned around.
"Will!" Mark exclaimed. "Stop this you evil beast!"
Will started wheezing, trying to gasp for the air he couldn't get. He fell to his knees and his eyes went dilated.
"He's going unconscious! You'll kill him! Please! Stop!" Mark said.
"Then let Claudia go," Natalia said. "Simple as that."
"I'll go," I said. "As long as you don't hurt any of my friends."
I could hear Will gasping to get air in his lungs. "Will!" Mark said. He picked Will up of the ground and embraced him in a hug.
"Let's go," Natalia said. "And," she glared at everyone. "Don't dare to try and follow us, I'll know."
"Bye guys," I said. "I love you all! Be safe!"
Natalia walked out the door with me following her. Once we were down the steps she said, "Don't try to run. You don't want to see me mad."
We walked down the dark streets for awhile. "Why me?" I asked.
"Because," Natalia started. "We believe you could be something more."
"Who is we?"
"A group of men and women who are now above human."
"What do you mean above human?"
"We're stronger, smarter, and braver than any humans. Also, we have telekinetic powers and the ability to see in the dark."
"So you're not human?"
"Obviously."
We walked for twenty more minutes. We had reached the end of the town. Natalia walked into the woods. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"To our base. Come on." Natalia said.
I slowly followed her. Is this where I'm going to die?
We walked through the woods for ten minutes before Natalia stopped. "Close your eyes," she said. I didn't. "I said, close your eyes!" I closed them.
"Let us enter your home, oh high and powerful. I have done as you asked, the girl is here with me." Natalia said.
I felt the ground start to shake. "Whatever you do, don't open your eyes!" Natalia said. The ground shook so much I thought I'd fall. About a minute later it stopped. "Open your eyes."
I opened my eyes. We were in an entirely new place. We were surrounded by metal walls. In one direction there was a long, empty hallway, it looked like it turned at the end.
"Follow me," Natalia said. She started to walk down the hall.
We walked what felt like for hours, turning many corners until I finally saw a door. "What is this place?" I asked.
"It shows you only where you want to go," Natalia said. She knocked on the door three times in the top left corner, once in the bottom right, and twice in the very middle. The door swung open.
The room beyond the door had pure white walls and a black carpet. There was a desk in the middle of the room. A man was sitting behind it. He stood up.
He had shoulder length black hair. He was wearing jeans and a long sleeve red shirt. "This is her?" He asked.
"Yes sir," Natalia said.
"Is this your idea of a game?" I said. "If so it isn't much fun."
"You got my note then?" The man said. "That was just to scare you. I have more then just a game planned."
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Me?" The man said. "You can call me Kantho. And I will test you to see if you are able to earn the powers others here have. Take Claudia to the beginning of the game Natalia."
"Yes sir," Natalia said. "Follow me."
I followed Natalia out of the room and down a few long, empty corridors. Finally we reached a door.
"Let the game begin," Natalia said. She opened the door and shoved me inside. I heard the lock click behind me.(A/N) Hello everyone! I hope you all will, are, or did have a happy Thanksgiving! Thank you all so much for reading my story! We are almost at 400 reads! Take care and have a great day!
