Problems

"Do you think whoever left it is still around?" I asked.
"Probably not, wimps won't show themselves unless the are almost guaranteed to win." Maggie said.
I walked into the foyer to make sure everything was still in place. "I found out how they got in," I said. Everything that was blocking the door was thrown aside. I looked outside before I shut the door. "Hey, guys...I think we have another problem." I said.
Everyone came in to the foyer. "Look outside," I said. In the street there were zombies.
"They're building up there endurance to the cold," Maggie said. "Shut the door."
I shut the door and I started to put everything back against it. "We can't stay here," Mark said. "It's a risk to all of us."
"We'll sleep here for tonight," Maggie said. "I need two people to do watch tonight."
     "I'll do it," I said.
"No Claudia, you've been through enough," Maggie said.
"There's no way I'm going to sleep tonight anyway," I said. "Some creep knows my name and is probably out to get me."
"Fine, just be careful," Maggie said. "Anyone else?"
"I'll stay up too," Angel said. "And Maggie, don't worry if something happens I'll do fine on my knee."
By now it was dark out. "You guys can head up to bed," I said.
We all exchanged goodnights. "This is going to be a long night," I said to Angel after everyone went upstairs.
"We need a way to keep ourselves entertained," Angel said.
"We could-" I started. There was an immense pounding on the door. I grabbed my knife which was sitting on the end table next to the couch.
I slowly walked toward the door and I looked outside the little window. "Zombie," I whispered to Angel.
Angel looked out the window. "It looks a bit more deteriorated than the ones we saw before," she said.
"Yeah, we need to kill it." I said.
"I'll throw open the door, you stab it. Back away immediately so I can slam the door shut." Angel said.
Angel and I moved the things blocking the door out of the way. She held the door shut. "Ready?" She asked. I nodded my head.
Angel threw the door open and I went to stab the zombie. But there was one problem, there was no zombie to stab. I stumbled out of the door, I caught myself before I fell.
"Where did it go?" I asked. I turned to face Angel.
"Claudia, turn back around." Angel said in a wary tone.
I turned back around. In the street there were at least five dozen zombies. "Get inside, now!" I said.
We turned and ran inside. I slam the door, Angel and I put everything back into place against the door.
"What's going on?" Maggie asked while walking down the steps. She threw her hair into a ponytail.
"There are at least five dozen zombies outside," Angel said.
"Ok, is the door secured shut?" Maggie asked.
"Yes," I said.
CRACK! went a piece of wood.
