Sacrifice of a Queen

Kai ran as fast as his feet could carry him,hearing the clanking of metal against metal behind him. Knowing all too well that Leia was fighting. She was fighting Diva in order to protect them. To protect him. And he hated that. Even with Diva appearing and her cold gaze on him he didn't want to leave. He was afraid for his life yes,but even so he didn't want to leave her. He didn't want to leave Leia alone with the psychopath. Gritting his teeth Kai continued to run,praying with all his might that Leia would be safe. That he would see her again. That she would return to him.

But that was easier said than done,Leia was quite a bit weaker than Diva now. Since she joined Red Shield, Leia has since stopped feeding on humans with great difficulty. And the gap of strength between Leia and Diva was indeed even bigger than ever. Leia struggled to keep Diva at bay before being sliced by the thin blade across the face. Leia released a shrill cry,gripping onto her bloody face. Tasting her own blood in her mouth Leia struggled to see.

The wound stretching across her right eye,and right now all she could see was red. Gripping onto her blade,Leia charged once more earning a powerful slap in the face which sent her flying into a far off metal wall. Leia gasped in pain feeling the metal bend and crack under the sudden pressure. She released a ragged cough as blood trickled down her lip,she was weak. Weaker than she very had been. Her limbs felt heavy and unused. Her heightened senses had dulled greatly and her healing factor had slowed to a painful crawl.

Leia was no match for Diva,but she could buy the others time. If everyone escaped this hell then her sacrifice would be worth it. Gripping onto her blade once more Leia charged towards Diva with determination in her heart as she impaled Diva with her blade,binding her to a nearby wall. Diva merely smirked before effortlessly pulling the blade from her body."is that it?"Diva asked before using her fingers to rip Leia's throat open. Leia's eyes were wide in shock as she felt her warm blood pouring from her throat. She immediately backed away from Diva,struggling to stop the bleeding from her neck.

Casually Diva walked over to Leia,snapping her neck in two places. With her eyes wide in fear Leia's body crumbled to the ground immobile as a single tear slithered down her cheek. "K-Kai."She whispered before falling into the darkness of her mind. All the while Diva roamed the ship humming happily to herself " Where are you boy?"She asked referring to little Rikku who she had corned at the very bottom of the ship in its cargo area. Rikku's body trembled violently at the appearance of Diva who stripped down before him.

He opened his mouth to cry for help only to have Diva wrap her arms around him. Her icy gaze boring into his own. "Your mine now boy."She stated coldly before pushing the young boy to the ground who remained frozen in fear as she had her way with the sobbing boy. Who screamed for help..he screamed for his brother,his sister. Even his father but unknown to the others help would come too late. And stumbling upon the heart wrenching scene was none other than Saya and Kai. They stared in terror at the sight of Rikku's crystallized body.

"No!!!"Saya screamed as she charged towards Diva. Her eyes turning their bloody crimson as she angrily slashed towards Diva earning a painful shove into the ground. Fracturing Saya's shoulder as she gripped it in pain. Stunned Kai walked over to the body of his body,careful not to break him as he held onto him. He had failed to protect him. Blinking away tears as he gripped onto the crystallized body of Rikku. They were no match for her that much was certain. If Leia couldn't stop her or Saya what chance did they have?

Leia. What had happened to Leia? Was she still alive? Immediately panic formed inside of Kai as he screamed out to Diva. "Where is she? Where's Leia?!"He screamed as with weak voice whispered "I'm here."Turning his gaze Kai spotted the bloody form of Leia,dragging her blade at her side. She looked utterly exhausted,with blood covering her from head to toe. Leia turned her glowing gaze towards Rikku,anger flaring as she barked orders " leave the ship! Now!"She screamed shocking everyone even Saya who struggled to her feet. "No! We do this together!"Saya screamed.

Leia shook her head as she walked over to Diva gripping onto her blade tightly "Someone has to survive Saya,and that person is you."Leia breathed as she crackling of flames made its way known to them. "Go!"She screamed as Saya and the others hesitantly boarded the life boats. But the one person who refused to was none other than Kai. Don't do this! Leia!"Kai cried out,causing Leia to smile a sad smile towards him. "I'll be right there with you, I promise."She said before pressing her lips against his cheek. "Now go."She whispered to him,bringing tears to the teens eyes.

And with sadness in his heart he left. Watching the figure of Leia in the center of flames become smaller and smaller. "You'd die for them?"Diva asked as Leia nodded before aiming her blade towards Diva. "I'd die for them a thousands times over."She declared as Diva snorted"Foolish." Before the two Queen's fought dancing among the flames with their blades in hand. Not caring that the sip around them was burning and soo. To burn would be them. Still Leia fought,she had to keep them safe and this is all she could do.

From the lifeboat Kai watched as the ship exploded sending flames and ash into the air above. And he screamed for her as loud as he could. She had lied. She told him she would come back. But how could she after that? "LEIA!"
