The Third Queen

I Will Find You

After their love making, Leia found herself making her way downstairs. Searching the kitchen cupboards for the cups necessary for making tea. Humming quietly to herself with the memories of what she and Kai had just done was now fresh in her brain.  Causing the violet eyed Queen to turn quite a few shades of red. Beginning to boil the water in the tea kettle, Leia began to add to direct amount of tea leaves into the mixture. Already anticipating the herbal aroma she loved so much. Soon the wailing of the tea kettle made itself known to Leia. Informing her that the tea had finally came to a boil and was ready for consumption. Smiling to herself Leia took hold of the warm tea kettle, and with the skills of a experienced barista, Leia poured the hot liquid into two cups. The herbal aroma hitting Leia like a gentle wave as she wished more than ever to share the tea with her love.

Taking hold of Kai's cup of tea, Leia quickly turned to race upstairs to Kai. But she never made it that far. In fact she remained glued in place unable to move her own body which scared her more than anything. To be a prisoner in ones body is something even the mighty "Third Queen" feared. And this was no different. Taking in a shaky breath Leia's eye desperately peered around the room. Seeking help from someone, anyone that could see her pain. Moments later unable to maintain her hold on the cup, Leia was forced to release the China. Watching in slow motion as the cup shattered into thousands of shards. All the while the hot tea spilled across the floor near Leia's feet.

With her stomach now in knots and the sudden urge to sleep overtaking Leia. Leia found herself struggling to remain standing, as her body pleaded with her to give in. And in truth even Leia knew that this would probably be the last time she would be able to withstand her body's silent will. Unable to fight it any longer Leia allowed herself to fall to the ground, her eyes now heavy with sleep. So much in fact she wasn't even too sure she would be able to open them again.

Wincing slightly expecting the hard wood ground to greet her, Leia was stunned to feel a familiar pair of arms wrap around her. Leia didn't even need to open her eyes to know who it was. Who had heard her cry for help. Her love, her heart. Kai. Who held onto Leia with trembling fingers, his heart racing as he could tell that the end was drawing near. It was then that Kai pressed his for head against Leia's as a single tear rolled down his right cheek. "I will wait for you. I swear it. S-So rest up okay? " Kai stated his voice trembling as he hoisted Leia onto his back. Wrapping her arms around his neck so that she would not fall. Blinking away his tears Kai set off into the night, taking Leia to the one place he knew she would be safe.

Yet with each step Kai took he felt scared. Scared that he would be alone for longer than he could handle. He loved Leia more than anything, and their daughter Chise was a miracle. Something none of them ever expected. But this... This loneliness was something that Kai feared more than anything.

So much in fact that his anxiety could be felt by his Queen. Who's eyes remained sealed shut, yet her thoughts which were horribly hazy due to her long sleep. Leia still continued to think about Kai, giving him closure that Leia knew he would need. "D-dont be afraid, I'm not going anywhere. I will be here.... "Leia began as Kai stopped before the closed off crypt where Saya had been sleeping for quite sometime now. And now Leia would soon be here, in a deep slumber by her sister's side. She would not be lonely but Kai would.

"Waiting for the time I get to see you again. "Leia breathed as she reached over to caress Kai's cheek. But he couldn't take it, knowing what she was bracing to do. She was going to say goodbye to him. To their love. To their family. And this was just something Kai refused to acknowledge. "Don't say it."Kai stated with bated breathe as he carefully opened the once sealed crypt to be greeted by the darkness of the dank room. The room was fairly quaint with two coffins sitting side by side one another.

One was already occupied, belonging to none other that Saya herself. Whom appeared to be peacefully dreaming, and waiting. Almost as if she knew Leia was near her very body began to pulsate. Welcoming Leia home as Kai carefully placed his love into the vacant coffin. Gripping onto her hand he kissed it hard as through tears he cried"Don't you dare say goodbye to me." Kai cried, his tears pelting Leia's face causing her great sorrow. She needed to see him,and he her. Just one more time,that was all. With the symptoms of sleep deep within of bones. Hindering Leia from moving what so ever. Leia willed herself, begged her body to listen to her. It was with great difficulty Leia forced her eyes open, allowing her one last look at Kai.

Smiling sorrowfully Leia caressed Kai's cheek alarming the Chevalier who peered towards her with puffy eyes. "I will find you again. I promise you, so wait for me. Wait for me as I've waited for you. "Leia stated with a gentle smile as her own tears threatened to make themselves known. Nodding his head Kai kissed Leia one last time as she then turned ed her gaze towards the ceiling. Her gaze now vacant of any consciousness, blinking away her tears Leia gripped onto Kai's hand tightly as the darkness slowly began to close in around her.

"Tell Chise.... I loved her.. More than... "leia struggled as her mouth became dry and voice breaking. Kai beckoned her to stay with him a little while longer but was only answered back by her weak breathing. As she struggled to finish her thoughts. It was a simple thought yet the fog of sleep made nearly impossible to finish. "Anything. "leia breathed as ever so slowly Leia's eyes closed for the final time. Her thoughts now hers and Hers alone as Kai seeped over Leia. His sobs echoing throughout the crypt as he yearned to be reunited with Leia once again. Kissing Leia's now cold hand Kai whispered to Leia. Telling her that he would keep his promise. He would wait for her for as long as it took. And she, chise and Kai could be a family once again. "I love you. "Kai whispered to his slumbering love who appeared to be enjoying her sleep. Forcing himself to leave her side, Kai sealed the entrance to the crypt praying that Saya and Leia were never interrupted.

Knowing that the journey would be difficult before him. Kai took one step forward and would continue to do so out of respect and love for Leia. He would keep his promises and more. Kai just hoped time would heal his wounds and bring his family back to him.
