True Acceptance

Deciding that was all the information he needed at the moment Joel suggested Leia take a well deserved break. And agreeing with him Leia quickly fled from the room, seeming as if the devil himself was on her heels. Yet the moment Leia left the room Kai could see the sadness,the bitterness in her eyes. And he felt the overwhelming desire to erase it from sight. Biting his bottom lip Kai ran after Leia,not caring that he bumped into others or knocked over things. All that mattered was her. Leia. Making her way to the close quarters of her room Leia slumped against the wall. Her body trembling as she recalled the horrid nights that Amshel would come to her. Placing his disgusting hands on her,touching her in her most precious virtue. Whispering words that made her skin crawl. Words that made her wish for nothing but pure and utter death.

Yes she wanted to die. In truth Leia would have done anything to get Amshel's horrible scent off her body. For no matter how many times she bathed she could not rid herself of his horrible smell. She could smell him. Feel him crawling all over her skin. It drove her mad. Slowly Leia brought her knees to her chest,releasing well deserved tears. She cried,she cried for her own self pity. Cried for the fact that she was so weak that a man. A monster was capable of forcing himself upon her. In such a way that would scar any women,but how would these scars form on Leia? She could heal any physical injury but how deep was this emotional scar? Would it plague her forever? Or would she overcome this dark patch in her life?

Never had Leia ever felt so weak,so alone. Who could understand her pain? Who could cleanse her of this urge to end her own suffering? Already she could feel it,herself falling into her very own hole of self pity. And she was sinking. And sinking fast. Leia continued to sob into her arms allowing herself to release all her frustration and anger out. Emotions that she had kept inside and did not know what to do with. And in truth still did not know what to do with.

Yet she continued to cry. Hoping these tears would somehow heal her of her past transgressions. But to Leia all she cried were tears of empty hope. Empty emotions that she could not cope with. Gripping onto her head tightly Leia struggled to hold in her remaining cries,feeling if she were to release them then she would fall into a hole she would never be able to crawl out of. And that is when she felt it. The sudden but soothing touch of one of the only people on God's green Earth that Leia could truly trust.

Hesitantly Leia turned her now reddened gaze towards none other than Kai himself. Who's vibrant brown eyes peered towards her filled with nothing but utter concern. How could Leia not have seen it? How saddened Kai was to see her like this. How it must have hurt him to hear Leia's terrible tale. Of how she was abused, and how the mere thought of him is what kept her alive. What kept her sane in this horrid world of theirs. Slowly Kai reached out for Leia,tenderly brushing his fingertips against her cheek.

"I'm sorry for what he did to you."Kai whispered to his dear Leia who immediately broke down before him. Falling into Kai's strong and warm arms. Sobbing loudly into his chest. This was the first time. The first time Kai was ever truly able to hold Leia in his arms. Kai could recall the many nights he would dream of holding Leia in his arms,planting a gentle kiss on her lips. Showing her happiness. Happiness that he wanted to give to her. Happiness that he wanted Leia to embrace for once in her life.

Mustering all the courage she could Leia spoke through her trembling lips. "I-Its not your fault."She whispered as Kai's grip tightened around her,refusing to let her go. "Yes it is. I wasn't there to save you."Kai whispered to Leia,fighting the urge not to cry in front of her. He had to be strong for her. For Leia. He was her protector,her chevalier. Leia had chosen him for a reason. Because he was different. There was something about him that compelled Leia to stay. To stay by his side,the side of good. The side which strove to protect mankind, and rid the world entirely of evil. Years ago you couldnt tell  Leia she would be here. That she would be in the arms a man. And not just any man,but the man that Leia was head over heels in love with.

Leia took a shallow breathe as she rested her head against Kai's chest. "Your here now,that's all that matters. "Leia whispered quietly,all the while feeling her heart pound loudly in her chest. She always seemed to feel this way when he was with her. And Leia knew why,she wanted to be with Kai more than ever. No matter the danger they would surely face. "Then let me protect you."Kai whispered before tipping Leia head upwards so that her lovely lavander orbs were staring directly at him.

"It's dangerous....to be with me Kai. To be bound to me. Can you handle that?"Leia questioned as Kai tenderly caressed her cheek causing her to smile at his touch. "I know what I want Leia. And it's you."Kai stated,his voice filled to the brim with confidence and most of all undying love. He loved her,he loved her no matter her flaws. He loved her despite her past. And he loved her despite the fact that being with her could result in his own death.

A warm smile appeared on Leia's lips as she gently pressed them against Kai's inviting ones. Allowing herself to melt into her arms,as Kai happily returned the kiss. Their tongues wrestling for dominance. Before Leia realized it she was laying on the ground with her hands pinned over her head by Kai. Who's chest heaved up and down due to his labored breathing. The two lovers stared into each other's eyes before sharing another mind blowing kiss. And it was a kiss that the two savored,for they knew there would be much hardship to come.
