The Third Queen

After days of searching New York for any traces of his Queen. Kai soon tracked down his lost Queen,coming to a fairly large mansion. It's vast gardens spreading across acres and acres of land. With lush greenery and multicolored flowers which seemed to be in full bloom despite the season. Stepping further into the garden itself,Kai was soon reassured he had indeed found his Queen. He could sense her near,feel her anguish. And this only made him want to find her and console her as quickly as possible. But that wasn't all that Kai sensed. He sensed other fellow Chevalier. At least 3 of them. And another presence. A presence that chilled Kai to the bone till this very day. Diva was nearby as well. Which meant retrieving Leia would be no easy task. Then again Kai wasn't expecting Diva to release Leia without a fight. Daringly Kai waltzed into the garden where a small circular table sat at it's center. With a porcelain tea set neatly nestled at the center of the table.

The smell of freshly baked bread, and deserts lingering in Kai's nostrils. Deciding it would be best to draw the dangerous Chevalier out in the open,Kai angrily kicked the table to the ground. Watching as the tea set shattered on impacted,brown liquid that Kai expected was tea slowly pooled about at his feet. Soaking into the very ground. It didn't take long for Kai to get what he wanted as the blonde haired Chevalier called Solomon soon appeared before him. His calm expression annoying Kai to no end. He despised this Chevalier. How dare he be near Leia? How dare he beckon her to return to this demon pit? Gritting his teeth Kai released a low growl as Solomon seemed to be completely unconcerned about the rash Chevalier. As he simply began to pick up the table and the many pieces of the tea set. Using a cloth in his breast pocket to wipe his hands free of any stains,before turning is attention to the anger filled Kai.

"Either your very brave,or stupid to come here alone." Solomon stated coldly as he tossed his handkerchief to the ground before Kai. Kai glared at the pompus Chevalier,unaware that his own dull brown eyes had now began to give off their intense glow. " I'm here for Leia,where is she?" Kai barked causing an evident smirk to form on Solomon's face as he spoke "The Third Queen doesn't wish to see you. Run along now little pup before things get ugly." He commented as Kai released another low growl before combating"I'm not going anywhere without her!" The moment those words left his lips another Chevalier stood behind Solomon. He was a fairly tall man with a dark complexion,his hair was neatly cut and held a pair of dark brown eyes to match.  He also seemed to be quite built which told Kai that this man was use to combat and wouldn't be afraid to get his hands dirty.

Feeling his fellow brother's presence Solomon assured the man he would handle Kai on his own. "I can handle him on my own James." Solomon said referring to the stoic Chevalier behind him who chose to step forward. His dark brown eyes boring into Kai's own. This Chevalier was something else,he felt the predetorial instincts kicking in. The need to protect his own Queen blurring the lines of duty and love. "I'm sure you can brother but you'll take too long. I'll end this boy quickly." James stated as Solomon simply shrugged his shoulders at his fellow Chevalier. Knowing once he had his mind on something there was no turning back. Plus he was indeed one of Diva's favorites. And having him injured would damper horrid mood Diva was already in.

"Careful now,he's Her Chevalier." Solomon informed as James simply dusted off his black suit before preparing himself to end Kai. "I'm well aware And regardless-" James began before suddenly disappearing in a blur throwing Kai off guard. As the young Chevalier's crimson eyes scanned the area in search of the missing Chevalier,only to feel the sudden force of what felt like an 18 wheelers barreling into him. Kai released a ragged breathe as James punched Kai in the abdomen,his hand protruding through to his back. "The boy still lacks real skill."James finished obviously not taking the battle seriously. But Kai was. With his own blood pooling at their very feet dying the once green grass crimson,Kai gripped onto James's hand. Daringly he forced the appendage from his body causing more blood to be spilt. Kai then stumbled backwards Abit,already feeling his flesh slowly beginning to repair itself.

"J-Just because I lack skill,doesn't mean this is over!" Kai roared ignoring the pain in his stomach he charged at James. Grabbing the unsuspecting Chevalier by the throat and beginning to choke the very life out of him. James's eyes were wide in both surprise and honestly respect as he struggled to claw his way out of Kai's grip. But he wouldn't budge. It was then that Solomon decided to step in forming his chiropterin blade like arm he swiftly ran towards Kai hoping to kill him where he stood.

Knowing that Solomon was in mid attack Kai then used James as a shield,throwing him at the attacking Solomon who caught his now gasping brother. Holding his still pouring wound Kai willed his body to continue,walking towards the flustered Solomon and James. Who's cockiness had gotten them nowhere in this fight. They believed Kai was weak. They believed because he was a fledging he would have no true power. But they we're wrong. Stepping closer to the two men Kai asked them once again. And he wouldn't ask again. "Where is Leia?" He demanded as Solomon glared at the crimson Eyed Kai.

"Even if you find her,she won't come back with you. She's forever bond to Diva a bond thicker than blood. She belongs to us now." Solomon commented with a confident smirk as Kai exhaled slowly before perparing to punch Solomon in the face,but his sudden attack was stopped by a certain presence. He felt it in the air,the familiar sensation that had been lost to him for so long. He felt her. Turning his attention towards the manor stood the vision of beauty he had been searching for. His sweet Leia. She stood before him, her long glowing raven hair being gentle tossed in the breeze around them. While her once calm violet eyes were troubled. Distorted by multiple emotions that Kai couldn't read. But he could read one. Hopelessness.

A single tear streamed down Leia's right cheek as she whispered into the air. "Why,why did you come here?" Her words shocking Kai to the core. Why was he here? Now that had to be odvious. Leaving Solomon and James,Kai seemed to almost limp towards his Queen. Seeking her comfort. For her had done it. He had found her. Mere inches from his love,Kai extended his hand for Leia. Caressing her cheek as he always did, instinctively she held his hand there. Seeking his comfort as well. Her words were false that was true. She wanted him there that much was true. "I came to save you." Kai stated Z he pulled Leia into a gentle embrace. An embrace that she was too drawn to,to fight with. Slowly Leia wrapped her arms around her love,nuzzling her face into his shirt. Inhaling his familiar scent that always seemed to out her heart at ease.

"You idiot,I can't save you here." She sobbed as Kai hushed his love kissing away her tears before smiling warmly towards her. " I know,and its okay." Kai whispered to Leia before tenderly giving her a quick peck on the lips. Already sensing that Diva was drawing near. " I knew what might happen if I came here. And it was worth it. I get to see you one last time before she kills me." Kai whispered to Leia,his words sinking in as she shook her head at him sobbing even more. "N-No,you can't Kai i-i" Leia began her voice becoming hoarse due to her own tears. "I won't let them kill you."She whispered to Kai before he was forcibly grabbed by Diva herself,slammed into the ground head first. Creating a large crater around his entire body. Kai gasped in pain as his entire body seemed to be frozen in both pain and fear.

"My sister isn't going anywhere,boy." Diva cackled as she manically began to stomp on Kai's head. His body tensed up after each heavy blow struggling to heal itself. All the while Leia stood paralyzed by her own heart. Swallowing a large lump in her throat Leia fell to her knees before her powerful sister. Begging she spare his life. Holding Kai's bloody body in her arms Leia gripped onto him. Examining the horrible bloody mess Diva had done to his skull. All the while Diva eyed the two a very displeased look on her face. It appeared Kai was the way to her sister's heart and she hated that more than anything else.

"Your love for him will forever be your undoing."Stated the familiar voice of none other than Amshel whom stood before Diva, urging her to let the bloody Kai be. "He will live,for now."Amshel stated as he ushered Diva away into the manor. "Have your time with the boy. No matter what you do your forever bound to Diva. And will never leave this place."He threatened leaving Leia and Kai alone in the garden.  Leia released a loud sob as she held onto Kai's swollen head. He knew this would happen,he knew yet he came anyway. Why? Why?! Cursing her own weakness Leia gripped onto Kai whispering the words that she had hoped to tell him before. "I love you,I always have. And always will." Those words seemed to trigger Kai as he began to groan in pain mumbling Leia's name.

"I'm here." Leia whispered placing his blood soaked hand on her cheek,holding it there. "I-Im here for you,and our child."She breathed.
