Kai stood at Leia beside,his hand gripping onto her clammy one. It had been 5 days since the return of Saya. Since Leia had been conscious. Since the fight with the Queen. Kai could recall it. He recalled feeling as if his very blood was boiling. How his skin felt as if it was aflame. Gritting his teeth Kai brought Leia's hand to his lips. Kissing it once in a tender matter. If he could he would take back that day. Take back the moment when he lost his sanity. Take back the moment he was no longer Kai Miyagusku. Young man and faithful Chevalier to Leia. No he was a monster. Something he had yet to come to terms on. Still Kai could see Saya's terrified eyes on him as he lounged towards her. With nothing but anger and bloodlust coursing through him. Giving him monstrous strength. Strength he knew for a fact could bring Saya to her knees in defeat. Strength that would allow him to protect Leia,so that she may never have to hold her blade. To cease her smiles. Truthfully Kai never wanted Leia to have to fight ever again.

He hated watching her walk through the daily trials of life. The very moment Kai laid eyes on the raven haired beauty he knew she was a misunderstood being. After all when her violet orbs fluttered open,they were filled with nothing but bitterness and sadness. Emotions Kai wished to get to the source of. He wanted to unveil her. He wanted to see Leia when the walls around her heart were down. He wanted to find his way into her heart because in truth Kai saw alot of himself in Leia. Like Kai she was misunderstood. Hung out with the wrong crowd and now only wanted redemption for her sins.

Leia didn't even care that her soul itself was soaked in the blood of innocent people. Nor the fact that due to her atrocities she would never truly wash the blood from her hands. For she would always walk this earth with the eyes of her many victims haunting her to her very grave. No. All Leia wanted was to do what was right for once in her life. She most definatly didn't believe she deserved any sort of companionship due to the crimes she had committed but somehow she found one.

She found Kai. A meeting Leia truly believed was a blessing. Perhaps God had a soft spot for one of his more troubled children and believed she deserved something good in her life. And that good was Kai. The moment Leia met him she knew he was different. She knew that she wanted to be by his side. To keep him from harm,even if it meant harming herself in the process. Yet a certain turn of events had occurred allowing Kai to remain by her side for the rest of their immortal days. But what did she do to deserve this?

Such generosity she was given and till this day Leia did not know why. But with every battle she fought,every wound she obtained Leia knew it was for a reason. It was her way of taking on the burden of her sins. In hopes that somehow and in some way she found fully redeem herself in the eyes of whatever God chose to seek pity for her. Kai closer his eyes,pressing Leia's hand to his lips as he prayed. He prayed for her like he always had. And always will. He prayed for her wellbeing.

He prayed that somehow by some miracle Leia would open her beautiful lavander eyes and gaze upon him a flash him a smile. A smile that made his heart shudder. Even in her current state Kai remembered how and when he truly fell for the breathtaking woman. A woman that even now Saya despised,despite the fact that Leia had changed herself greatly. And why? To make Kai happy. She even grudgingly told him that one day. And when those words made Kai smile even till this very day. Because he felt the same way.

Those many years when Leia was away and allegedly died on the burning ship. Kai felt a part of him die along with her and sink into the very depths of the sea. At that time he wasn't too sure of his feelings for Leia. But he did know that he was quite fond of her and didn't want her to leave his side. And now Kai was sure about his feelings. He adored Leia. Kai wanted nothing more than to be by her side forever. Quietly Kai pressed his lips against Leia's hand once more whispering her name.

Kai watched as her strained expression turned into one filled with such serene. Almost as if she was a child finally able to fall asleep after their mother has rocked them to sleep. Kai smiled warmly towards Leia before reaching out to caress her cheek lovingly. But something stopped him. His hand frozen in mid air as Kai averted his gaze towards the window. He heard something, yes it was windy but Kai could have sworn her heard multiple pairs of footsteps coming this way. Sensing an immense amount of danger and dread Kai released Leia's hand and stood in front of her bed. His gaze turned towards the window which suddenly dispersed into thousands and thousands of tiny shards in the air.

Kai refused to back down as a group of 4 black cloaked figures appeared before him. Each wielding their own special weapon all the while beginning to circle the unconscious Leia. One of the cloaked figure stepping towards Kai causing him to glare towards the person threatening to kill this person where they stood. "Give us the girl."The man demanded causing a low growl to escape Kai's throat. Causing the man to step back in utter fear "Over my dead body."Kai hissed.
