The Third Queen

Faithful Decision

Kai stood in silence atop of a fairly large building in New York,gazing upon the vast city. Bustling with thousands and thousands of people,ignorant to the deadly war that was happening in their midst. Stuffing his hands into his pockets Kai bit his bottom lip as images of Leia made themselves known to him. Her calm lavander eyes peering in his own. Beckoning him to her. Gritting his teeth Kai stepped closer to the edge of the building,before closing his eyes and concentrating. Hoping to somehow feel his Queen. Yet his thoughts were interrupted by the appearence of Haji in the doorway. His calm gaze fixed on the distraught Kai. Releasing a heavy sigh Kai turned to meet Haji's gaze. Surprised at the fact that he was there and not by Saya's side. "How's Saya?" Kai questioned the stoic Chevalier who closed the distance between the two. Ending up standing beside Kai who chose to sit on the edge of the very building. His legs dangling over the vast city below. "She's recovering well,although there's no doubt when she wakes she will want revenge." Haji informed Kai who couldn't help but to shake his head at Haji's words before whispering "That wont happen."

Hearing his words Haji eyed Kai curiously,watching as the newly created Chevalier who's eyes slowly began to take their dangerous crimson glow. " What?" Haji asked hesitantly as Kai slowly turned his head towards Haji allowing him to view his now flaring eyes. "I said I won't let that happen." Kai declared before slowly rising to his feet daringly close to the edge. With his hands still stuffed in his pockets Kai continued to speak. " I failed as a Chevalier,I was suppose to protect her. And instead she protected me. But now,it's my turn." Kai declared,catching Haji's attention who's curiosity continued to grow at Kai's words.

"And what do you intend to do?" Haji asked as Kai merely smirked at his words before stating "What else? I'm going to find Leia." Kai declared with a confident smile,his eyes continuing to give off their dangerous glow. And with those words Haji couldn't help but to crack a small smile of his own. Quite touched by the young man's words and overall understanding Kai's desire to find Leia. After all Haji had once been so driven to find and protect Saya he infact dedicated his immortal life to protecting Saya.

Acknowledging Kai's determination Haji too rose to his feet speaking to Kai once more. " Then go,find her. And bring her home." Haji stated utterly shocking Kai who turned towards the more experienced Chevalier "What about Saya?" Kai asked as Haji reassured Kai "I will handle Saya,although we know the final battle is drawing near. You have to find the Third Queen before the battle begins." Haji answered as Kai nodded towards the fellow Chevalier,thanking him for his assistance. " Then-" Kai began as he peered out towards the night shrouded city. "It's time to go then." Kai said with a brief smile before muttering "Tell Saya, I'm sorry." Kai whispered before stepping off the ledge of the tall building. Allowing himself to plummet towards the ground.

With the wind whipping around him,Kai closed his eyes. Concentrating Kai bid his chiropterin genes to once again become active,Kai soon felt the center of his back become almost searing hot. Gritting his teeth Kai then felt his large scaly wings sprout from his back. Opening his eyes Kai allowed his newly formed wings to glide across the night sky. With a brief smirk Kai began to soar through the sky. More determined than ever to find his Queen. And once again bring her home.

For he swore he would use this gift. This power Leia had blessed him with to save her. Because in truth they needed each other. Kai needed Leia in his life,and Leia was infact slowly dying inside. And because of this Kai just couldn't bear to let her suffer. For he suffered as well and knew that their suffering would end once they we're reunited. The only problem was that once they we're reunited,there would most certainly be quite a battle. After all Diva had just achieved her goal and lured Leia back into the fold. And of course would not be willing to let go of her sister.

Kai knew he would have to be prepared for a fight or two. And he was indeed prepared to Kai refused to leave Leia in Diva's clutches. Infact he was willing to put his life on the line for hers. After all his life was Leia's and forever would remain with her. As she was his Queen,and he a knight. Someone sworn to protect her for life. And Kai would do so no matter the cost.
