The cloaked figure stood in front of Kai,her back facing him. She took a fighting stance,with her slim blade in her right hand she quickly slid her hand across the blade. Allowing her blood to stream down the steel. In the blink of an eye the woman charged towards the Chiropterin,swiftly dodging it's claws before plunging her blade into its abdomen. The creature roared as it angrily tried to claw at its own flesh. But it did no good. As already it's body was beginning to crystallize around the blade. The woman used all her strength to force the blade deeper into the creature causing it to angrily swipe at her face. And that's when it happened. A single swipe of its claws allowed the hood to fall from her head. Revealing a pair of florescent lavender eyes Kai knew and believed he would never see again. It was her. The Third Queen. Leia. She was alive. Angrily Leia screamed as she sliced 5he Chiropterin from its stomach to its head. Slicing it in two as its crystallized body fell to the ground,shattering into millions of tiny shards.
Slowly Leia turned her gaze to Kai who despite near death couldn't help but to smile. She was alive. Alive and well. He whispered her name into the night air before Leia made her way to him. Her black heeled boots clinking with each step she took. She soon knelt before Kai,taking him into her arms as she whispered " I'm sorry I'm late."She breathed,her eyes losing their dangerous glow. Kai smiled weakly towards Leia as he struggled to answer " You came,that's all that matters.....I-"Kai began before coughing violently,alarming Leia who stared at the gaping wounds he had suffered.
Leia stared at her blood drenched hand as she called for David who struggled to their side checking his vitals. "We need to get him back to HQ." "He's fading too fast! What if he doesn't make it?"Leia asked desperate to save her dear friend. "We will save him,I swear it."David declared before carefully hoisting Kai over his shoulder and taking him to the car and speeding off in hopes to saving Kai. Leia watched as Kai was taken away to safety praying with all her might he would survive. After all,the desire to see him again is what drove her to return. To escape her captors.
Hours had passed and Kai's condition had not improved since the attack. Even now he lay in a bed,with multiple tubes attached to his body. And Julia desperate to save his life, but the more she tried the weaker he became. Julia averted her gaze to the ground regretfully accepting the fact that he could not be saved. She quietly left the room allowing Leia to be by his side in his final moments.
Leia stood by his side, her hand gripping onto his own. Oh how her heart weeped to see him in such a state. How pale his skin was and how his once lively brown eyes were now dull. Struggling to maintain whatever life remained within him. "L-Leia."Kai muttered,catching the attention of the breathtaking woman before him. The years had been good to her,for she was as beautiful as ever. Leia had allowed her hair to grow,loving the way the wind tossed it about. And those eyes. Those lavender orbs she held were just as calming as Kai remembered. "T-Turn me....turn me into a chevalier."Kai muttered with words echoing through her mind.
It was what she wanted. The moment she layed eyes on him Leia even asked if she was indeed her Chevalier. But she felt it,she felt that he was truly meant to be beside her. To walk by her side and remain with her forever. But what if he wasn't ready? What if he wasn't strong enough in his current state and it killed him? Leia couldn't fathom a world without him, the mere thought of it was enough to send her into a rage. Her grip tightened on his hand as she spoke.
"You don't knew what your asking of me." "I know what I want Leia,and it's to be with you...forever."Kai stated,his voice filled with determination but most of all love. She felt the love in his voice. He truly adored her and she him. Leia blinked back her tears as she pressed her lips against Kai's forhead " It will be painful. "She whispered to him as Kai smiled weakly " I've been through worst."He breathed, causing Leia to release a light chuckle. She then pressed her forhead against his " There's no turning back from this. After this Kai....you'll no longer be the same." Leia whispered as she placed her hand on his chest. "I know."Kai whispered as he gripped onto her hand " do it."He whispered as Leia quietly nodded. If that was what he wished she would give it to him. A life
