After a morning with their beloved daughter Chise; Leia and Kai left her in the care of a close friend of Kai's. The couple with their hands linked waltzed across the island. Enjoying the warmth of the morning sun on their skin. Still not quite use to the peaceful atmosphere Leia couldn't help but to look around. Watching as children skipped about the sidewalk next to their parents. Giggling happily talking about their day. While in the food market the vendors began to prepare the produce for the day. Which was a wide range of fruits and vegetables that even Leia couldn't even count.

The more the two explored Okinawa the more Leia was satisfied with their choice of living. This was in fact the perfect place to raise a family. The people were just so polite always willing to give a helping hand. Heck weeks ago the water heater in the Omoro restaurant was faulty and a regular customer was the first to offer his assistance. It blew Leia's mind that humans were so thoughtful. She knew she should be use to it after all Kai had introduced her to many nice people since their meeting. But it was just something Leia wasn't quite use to. Smiling towards the gentle beaming sun above them Leia twirled around in front of Kai, making him smile as well as he helped twirl her around as well. Bringing his wife into his arms stealing another kiss from her which only made her blush. "I love it here." she breathed as Kai nodded as he held Leia by he waist as the two seemed to waddle down the sidewalk. "Me too, this place has just always been home to me. "kai began as he gently kissed the top of Leia's head before finishing his sentence. "And now it's our home."

Smiling at his words Leia placed her hand on Kai's forearm, rubbing it soothingly. "Your right, this is our home. Now and forever." She whispered her voice filled with warmth but something else seemed to be brimming at the surface. Struggling to make it's presence known to even Leia. Biting her bottom lip Leia swallowed a large lump in her throat, catching Kai's attention. Who asked her what was wrong. She didn't want to say anything to worry him, she never did. But Leia knew that this didn't just affect her. It affected Kai and their daughter and it was just something that couldn't be ignored. No matter how hard they tried to pretend, it was real. A real threat to their paradise.

Ushering themselves away from the crowded road, Leia wrapped her arms around Kai. Squeezing him tightly as tears rolled down her cheeks. "I'm scared I don't want to go to sleep and forget everything. Forget you, forget Chise, everyone! I-I can't! " Leia sobbed as Kai simply held her in his arms, rocking his shaken wife in his his shaken love back and fourth soothingly. "It doesn't matter if you forget, I'll be here to remind you. So will Chise. We knew this was going to happen. " Kai whispered as he rubbed Leia's back. "Chise and I are living reminders of who you are. We will help you, I promise you. Your mine and I am yours nothing has changed. "Kai reassured her as he gently wiped away her fresh tears. Sniffling lightly Leia gripped onto Kai, her grip stronger than ever before. "You promise?" "I swear it. " Kai stated as Leia hugged Kai tightly her tears now that of joy for she knew Kai meant every word. But it still scared her. Missing such a huge chunk of their lives together with Chise. What if the bond the mother and daughter faded? What if Chise learned to hate her because of her absence?

Swallowing her fears Leia silently nodded, following Kai quietly through the streets to Julia's small clinic. The door handle seeming almost foreign to Leia as her fear once again threatened to swallow her whole. Submerging her within the dark pit she once called home. With his hand firmly pressed against Leia's lower back. Offering a gentle nudge of support which was enough for Leia to reach for the handle.  Twisting it before gently pushing it open where her fate was soon to be decided. Holding her breath Leia stepped across the threshold of the building. She always imagined the clinic being a cold and damp place. Giving off a vibe of impending doom. But that wasn't what Leia got. Instead Leia and Kai were both greeted by the warm rays of sunshine which seemed to spread throughout the entire room.

Closing the door behind them Julia couldn't he'll but to smile at the two. Welcoming them to her home. And that was the perfect word for the place. At their very feet was a mahogany wooden floor. While the very walls themselves held the wood as well, yet only half way as the wood was finished with floral designs which gave it a small home like feel to it. Leading the two to a sizable couch, Julia pulled up a chair in front of Kai and Leia. "I'm just going to take some blood from you today. Okay?"Julia communicated as Leia gripped onto her sweaty hands, nodding nervously as she was instructed to lean back on the sofa while Julia began her work.

Lacing their fingers together Kai sat beside his love. Showing his support for her as Julia quickly drew the correct amount of blood she needed. Without missing a beat Julia slid across the room with the blood sample in hand. Rolling to her computer where she prep the samples before informing the two that she would alert them when the results were ready.  Asking how long it would take with bated breath, Leia sat up from the couch. Rubbing her arm nervously as Julia reassured the Queen that she would know in two days. Explaining that from what she could tell so far from the amount of data that had currently been detected. Which stated that the symptoms of sleep had yet to be found. But Julia also explained that these we're not the final results just a hypothesis based on the data.

Accepting that she would have to wait, Leia quickly thanked Julia. Grabbing Kai by the hand and quickly exiting the building. Wishing to cast that anxiety moment aside and replace it with something pleasant. Shaking his hand free and grabbing and instead sweeping Leia off her feet. Kai kissed Leia on the cheek causing her to crack a smile. "We don't know how long we have together, so we should treasure every moment we have. "He whispered while pressing his for head gently against Leia's. Nuzzling her lovingly like always.  Nodding at his words a smile appeared on Kai's head and he playfully threw Leia into the air. She shrieked lightly not expecting Kai to use his chiropterin strength so suddenly, as she was gently caught her hoisted on his back. So that Kai was giving her a ride instead. "Then we're starting now!" kai declared as he nearly dashed through the streets. With a smile Leia allowed Kai to run through the streets unsure of what was ahead for them.  But Leia knew as long as she had her family all would be well.
