The Third Queen

Stand

The wooden stage creaked under Leia's heels, allowing the battle ready queen to gain her footing.  With her back pressed against her ally;Haji. The two began to carefully circle the area. Now coming to the conclusion that hidden within the death trap of a room. There were infact a total of 200 of Cinq Flèches undead soldiers.  Each of them soulless without a single spark of consciousness. For they were nothing but warriors created to do Amshel's bidding. And for his sake end the war before him.  But Amshel had never anticipated this, a Queen changing sides and fully ready to destroy him. Clutching her blade until her knuckles turned white, Leia was soon bombarded by multiple assaliants, their blades clashing against one another. Causing the sound of metal on metal to echo throughout the entire room. Gritting her teeth Leia parried the blades, keeping her distance before observing one of her attackers bounding into the air. Their weapon held over it's head as the enemy prepared to crush Leia where she stood.

It was then that Leia twirled on her heels, her blade in hand as she returned the attackers deadly blow. With all her strength Leia flipped the enemy over, causing them to land hard on the wooden ground. She then took the opportunity to swiftly stab the perpatrator in the gut. Causing the body to lurch forward and cough up bile, with her eyes burning with rage leia ordered everyone to make way for the exit. But was interrupted by the sudden searing pain in Leia's leg.  She gasped before peering down noticing the gaping hole in her achilles heel while another group of soldiers took chance to attack Leia all at once. Releasing a loud shriek Leia slumped to her knees, a pool of crimson forming at the ground below. And a pain like she had never felt before continued to swallow her whole, so much in fact she feared she would fall into the pit of darkness once more and be unable to crawl her way out.

Swallowing her own blood Leia closed her eyes as she could once again feel the cold steel of multiple blades carving through her flesh to the extent that Leia could see her very skin being seperating from her muscle. With tears brimming over in her watery gaze Leia spotted Kai running full speed towards her. Pure rage evident in those dark brown eyes of his as Kai seemed to give into his primal instincts. It was then that Kai began to pummel the enemy, his fangs beginning to make themseleves known to all. All the while kai roared madly forcing the remaining soldiers to brace for impact. Leia smiled weakly as Kai made it to his love, blood pooling at her feet. Swiftly Kai severed the blades which held Leia, catching her before she fell to the ground. 

Kai peered down towards his blood coated love, caressing her cheek as he rocked her gently in his arms. "I've got you. "He whispered softly as Leia couldn't help but to crack a weak smile at his words. He was always there, and would always be. Leia did not need his words to tell her that.  She felt him deep within her soul, felt him screaming in fear and rage at the pain Leia had endured. "Im getting you out of here. " Kai declared as he carefully lifted Leia into his arms, her arms dangling about. "N-no... Leave me...I'll only slow you down. "Leia muttered weakly as Kai carefully slung Leia onto his back. Gritting his teeth Kai carefully maneuvered through the room. Trying his best to avoid the lot of enemies that continued to launch themselves towards Kai and Leia with no remorse.

While sidestepping a fairly large blade, Kai kicked the soldier which such force it sent the body flying into a faraway column which began to rock back and fourth ever so gently. Signalling Saya and the others that they needed to leave now.  Already Kai could feel the very foundation of the building beginning to crumble beneath their feet. From the far side of the room Saya called out to her brother and sister. Beckoning them to head for the exit as well. But even with her body struggling to recover Leia refused. Forcing Kai to put her down, Leia hacked through another enemy. Her blade nearly becoming stuck in the corpse before finally being released from its flesh. " We will hold them off, get the kids out of here! " Leia barked as another soldier appeared before her, it's weapon raised and prepared to swing. Cursing under her breath Leia barely dodged the assault, the sharp blade nicking her soldier before Kai lodged his fist through the corpse. Roaring loudly Kai severed the man in two, crimson sprayed about splattering on Kai's face highlighting his deadly gaze. Leia stood in awe for a moment as Kai signal handedly kept the enemy at bay.  Allowing Leia time to recover and for Saya and the others to escape unharmed.

Noticing this Leia bid Kai to her side, his chest heaving up and down rapidly alerting Leia that he was nearly ready to let loose on the enemy. Pressing her fingers against Kai's upper forearm drawing his gaze to her own. "this will be our final battle, are you ready?" Leia questioned as an evident smirk appeared on his lips already his transformation to his true form was merely brimming the surface. Ready to erupt from his human skin. "I was born for this.  And once this is over we're going home. " Kai stated with a smile as at the sound of returning with her love to a peaceful island. Where the two of them could live  peacefully raising their child. With a smile on her face Leia held onto the hilt of her blade preparing for the final battle to take place.

"Yes, home. "leia whispered with a smile as already the remaining soldiers began to circle the two. "then let's do this. " Leia declared as Kai nodded the two of them linking their fingers awaiting for the enemy to strike them. But they would not fall nor would they ever. For this was a promise Leia fully intended to keep.
