Hanna POV
I love shopping. Like love, it's my favourite hobby. Me and Mona go to the rosewood mall a lot. But we don't always pay. I know it's wrong I know but it's the only way I can get my dad to notice me. Whenever I do anything wrong he always comes to my "rescue", yeah lousy dad I know. So that's what I do, bad things so he comes and I get to see him. Even through he doesn't act like a dad or treat me like I should be treated but he's still my father. I stole sunglasses. And I thought I'd gotten away with it.
Me and my mom were just about to eat dinner when there was a harsh, loud knock at the door. I got up to answer and it was detective Darren Wilden.
"Miss Marin, is your mom home?" He's asked me which made me curious. My mom came to the door before I answered. He continued.
"Mrs Marin, in sorry to have to tell you this but your daughter has been caught in camera shoplifting at rosewood mall. We need to take her down to the station"
Before I knew it I was in the back of a police car on the way to the police station. It was scary. I'd never been arrested before. My mom followed in the car behind us and talked to Dt Wilden when we got there. They were talking for ages. I sat and waited patiently outside when my phone vibrated.
Be careful Hanna. I hear prison food makes you fat -A
That was such an Ali thing to say. But it couldn't be her, could it? I thought she was gone forever, but maybe not. Maybe she is back. My mind wondered until Wilden stormed out of his office looking angry and my mom followed shortly behind. "Come on we are leaving" she said sharply. I stood up and followed her out, and for the rest of the night all I could think about was that message.
