Aria POV
"Is this some kind of joke?" Detective Wilden said to us as we stood shaken outside the church. Spencer was crying and we were trying to comfort her in the best way we could. We were all scared, confused, and a little angry. "What are you talking about." Hanna replied sharply to him.
DW;"there's nobody in there. And there's no signs that anyone was killed in there"
H;"well dead men don't just stand up and walk away"
DW;"Exactly. Girls your coming to the station with me."
E;"why? Spencer told you what happened and we told you what we saw when we found her"
DW:"Well Emily, its protocol. And honestly I don't have any evidence to make me believe what any of you are saying"
We all scowled at him as he opened the door of his police car. We were at the station for about 2 hours and then we all went to back to Spencer's. That night we didn't really sleep much, we just talked about how someone must have moved the body, and we knew someone was A. It was 7:45 the next morning and we all went down stairs to get some coffee. We got to the bottom of the staircase and our parents we all stood looking in our direction. They had very serious looks on each one of there faces. "Is everything okay?" Spencer asked them. "Girls we need to talk" her mom replied.
Then my mom started talking. "After last nights events, we have decided that you girls need some time apart. Ever sinceAlison's death you girls have been acting strange and jumpy. We have all agreed that you will all benefit from a little time apart. And therapy sessions have been scheduled for each of you, to really help you move on"
"what do you mean after 'last nights events'? Spencer almost died, and we need each other right now. Ian is dead. He is dead, do you not believe what we are saying? Do you think we are making this up?"
Mom:"it's not that we don't believe you its just-"
"just what mom? Because it sure seems like you don't believe us"
They were all silent until Emily's mom started talking. "Girls it's not that we don't believe you, it's just you look very bad in this situation and time apart will help people to forget about what happened?"
E:"mom people aren't going to forget about what happened, because someone was murdered. When are people going to believe that we aren't making this up. Do you just want to take everyone I care about Away from me?"
Em's mom stood at looked at Emily with a sad but kind of angry expression. We were a little shocked too actually, we'd never seen her talk to her mom like that.
Then Hannas mom spoke.
"Girls,you need this time apart"
H;"bull-"
Hannas mom;"HANNA"
H:"well it is. It's bullshit"
Hanna stormed upstairs and then Emily followed. Me and Spencer stayed for a few seconds just staring at our parents and then we stormed upstairs too.
Emily POV
We stormed upstairs to Spencer's room after our conversation with our parents. "What are we going to do?" I asked angry at what they were saying.
H;"I really don't know Em"
A:"Me either. We can't just stop seeing each other."
S:"of course not! That's crazy. But our parents don't look like they are going to let this go. Why don't we act like we aren't friends and pretend we aren't seeing each other, when really we can. We can meet up everyday and talk privately in school. Just until our parents let this go."
