Hanna POV
After Alison's funeral, all I could think about was how she died. What happened to her that night? What did she do that was so bad she ended up dead? I couldn't let go of all the questions I had going on in my head. I called the girls and asked them to come over and talk. I couldn't be the only one who had all these lingering questions. It was about 7:15 when they arrived.
"Guys, I can't let go of this. I can't move on. It's killing me and it needs to stop. The more I think about what could have happened to her the more it consumes me. We need to do something, something to help us move on, something to help me move on"
A:"Hanna I feel the same. I know what's it's like, those sleepless nights just wondering. Thinking about everything"
S:"okay, so what can we do to help us let go, or at least move on"
E:"what about if we set up a memorial outside the church. People can write messages that can be carved into a bench and there could be a fountain and all her favourite flowers"
"Yeah Em, that's a really good idea. But how are we going to be able to do that?"
S:"I heard Jason is back in town, and Mrs D, I'm sure they would be willing to help. I'll call and see what we can do"
This memorial was a great idea. It would help us all move on from what had happened, or at least make it seem a little easier. Spencer called Jason and he was on board with the whole idea. That family was pretty rich so they were also willing to pay for it all. We talked all night about how we would make it look and how much Alison would have loved it is she was still here.
The next day after school we all met up at Spencer's house and waited for Jason. None of us had seen him since the funeral, and he was always a little strange. He was one of those people who you just got a weird vibe from. I felt anxious waiting for him to come.
There was a strong knock at Spencer's back door. Jason walked in a said hello to us all.
J:"so I like the idea, who came up with it?"
E:"I did"
He smiled and thanked Emily for her great idea. We spoke for a while about what we were going to do. We agreed that we would have an open service where people could go and say what they wanted about Alison and everyone would write a message that they would carve into the bench. We had a week to get everything ready but with Jason's help I'm sure it would be possible.
*one week later*
I put on my slim black dress and looked at myself in the mirror. Today was going to be emotional, but it was going to help us move on. The service started at 9.45 so me and the girls met up just before then. We all had speeches prepared. I went first then Emily, Aria and then spencer went last. All of us shares our favourite memories, and talked about how much we missed her. Everything was going well until someone unexpected walked in. Just as Spencer was about to start her speech he walked through the door. She immediately froze and we all turned at looked towards the door; it was Ian Thomas.
