Chapter 41

Emily POV

"Okay, we will come straight away" aria said before hanging up the phone. "We need to go to spencer now!" She said grabbing her coat. "What's going on?" Hanna asked confused.

"I don't know. But spencer sounded serious, and we all know what that means."

We quickly put some clothes on and then We all raced out of the house and got in Arias car. We drove round to Spencer's as fast as possible and parked up out front. We walked through Spencer's side door and she was sat staring at this package on her countertop. She looked at us and then looked back at the package. She was twiddling her fingers and clearly thinking hard. "What is that?" I asked sighing not in the mood for another A threat.

S:"I don't know I waited till you guys got here"

H:"open it spence"

We all looked at the package as spencer tore open the seal. We were all scared. I mean there could be anything in there. The package opened and spencer pulled out a gold necklace with a pattern of odd beads on it. "Is this supposed to mean something?" Aria asked annoyed and confused.

"Yes" I said whilst grabbing it and inspecting each bead closely. "Wait Em do you know what this is?" Spencer asked me. I knew what it was a soon as I saw it. "Yeah. I do. I bought one for Ali for her 15th birthday. The beads spell out different words."

A:"Do you know what it means?"

"No"

S:"google will"

Spencer opened her laptop and googled message necklaces. After a few minutes she found out where they were being sold. It was a shop just in the edge town so we headed there straight away.

About ten minutes later we arrived. It was this quirky little shop that's none of us had ever been to before. It was kind of creepy too. We got out of the car and gave each other the same look. It was a kind of  "I really don't wanna go in this place but I know we have to" kind of look.

We all walked over to it and spencer went in first. The shop was crammed full of a whole load of...well...crap really, and we couldn't find where the other necklaces were. "Can I help you?" A blunt voice said from round the corner said. We walked round to see this girl sitting at the desk and cash register. She had all black clothes on a skull tattoos all over her arms. She had about 10 piercings on her face and she did not look happy to see us. "Oh erm yeah actually" Spencer said trying to be nice. The girl rolled her eyes as spencer walked over to her and handed her the necklace. "Would you be able to tell us what the message for this is?"

"One minute" she replied bluntly again walking into the back room.
"Geez what a fun girl" I said sarcastically but quietly so she didn't hear. We stood and waited for about a minute and she came back out. "Lost woods" she said sighing.

S:"excuse me"

"Lost woods. That's what it says"

S:"oh okay, thank you"

Spencer took the necklace back off her and we turned around and walked back outside. "Lost woods, isn't that the creepy motel in the west corner of the woods?" Hanna asked hoping she was wrong. "That's the one Han" Spencer said as we got back in the car.

I sat in the back with Aria and just stared out of the window. I was so scared I felt sick. My mind thought about everything A could be doing to Maya and my eyes filled with tears. Aria grabbed my hand and spoke softly, "we will find her Emily. Everything is going to be alright." I nodded and wiped my eyes.
