Emily POV
It was the day of me and Maya's date and I'd honestly never been so nervous in my life. I don't know why I felt like this because I was so comfortable being around her. I don't think it was Maya specifically but the whole date in general. We were going to the movies; she was picking me up at 8.00. I tried on about 5728272937 different outfits and eventually settled for black jeans and a white top. I'd blow dried half of my hair and there was a loud knock at the door. "Crap she's early" I mumbled whilst quickly blasting off the other half of my soaking wet hair. I heard the door open, and I heard Maya and my mom talking; they'd never met before. I panicked and finished getting ready as fast as I possibly good, I haven't told my mom about...well anything yet, so the fact that she was speaking to my...to Maya, made me feel edgy. I raced down the stairs. "Hey" I said whilst trying to hold back my heavy breath. "Hi" she replied.
"Mom, we are going to the movies, is that okay?""yeah course, just don't be home to late"
"Okayyyyy" I said whilst walking out the door. We got in Maya's car and she kissed me.
"How are you?" She asked me.
"Better now that your here" I replied with a smile. Maya started driving and we soon got to the movies. We got a large popcorn and two tickets for 'I walked with a zombie', on the back row. The first 20 minutes of the movie was great but I didn't really see much of it after that because...well you know. It was such an amazing night, every single second of it. I got home about 10.45 and went straight to bed. I finally felt happy, really happy, and that was all because of Maya.
