Nasa loob naman ng clinic sina Nathan at Matthew. Mas minabuti nilang sila na muna ang makikipag usap sa doctor. Iniwan naman nila si Carl kasama si Ace para naman may makausap ito, habang si Ren kumuha ng mga gamit ni Ace.

"Doc, ano po talaga ang sakit ni Ace? Wala naman siyang mga hereditary diseases para mauwi siya sa renal failure."

"Yes. As I've said yesterday, this is rare and the cause is unknown. Ang patient ay may Goodpasture's syndrome o goodpasture's disease. Isa itong autoimmune disorder." Naguluhan naman si Matthew dahil wala siyang idea kung ano ang pinag sasabi ng doctor sa kanila. "Okay to make it simple, autoimmune disorder ibig sabihin mismong sarili niyang immune system ang pumapatay sa cells niya. As for the case of Mr. Troth, his autoantibodies are made against his glomerular basement membrane and neurophils. Usually, may dalawang organs na affected dito. These are lungs and kidneys."

"Pero doc, wala namang abnormal respiratory manifestations na present sa kanya."

"hindi kasi siya nadidiagnosed until serious lung and kidney problems are present." Napahilamos naman si Matthew sa naririnig niya. Seryoso pala ang sakit ni Ace. "Pero, hind ba doc ang mga autoimmune disorder na yan common siya sa mga matatanda?" tanong naman ni Nathan dito.

"Pwede naman siya mag undergone ng hemodialysis . Sa lab results niya kasi it shows na damage na ang kidneys niya. Hindi na kaya ng sarili niyang kidneys ang i-excrete ang mga waste products sa katawan niya. Pwede rin ang plasmapheresis with IV immunoglobulin to protect him from infections since napaka baba ng resistance niya. May mga gamot rin like corticosteroids to suppress his autoimmune response--"

"How 'bout kidney transplant?" tanong naman ni Matthew dito. "Yes it is one of the options."

"So may chance ba na gagaling siya?"

"In RARE instances, patients have been disease free after transplantation. But, mataas parin ang chance ng tissue rejection at life threatening rin yun. " Hindi naman lubos maisip ni Nathan kung bakit nangyayari ito. Parang kailan lang na napaka lusog at active ni Ace, tapos bigla lang siya nasa hospital bed at may seryosong sakit.

"Are you that confident that it is really his condition? Baka naman na misdiagnosed kayo." Natanong lang yun ni Matthew dahil hindi niya parin matanggap kung bakit nahantong si Ace sa ganung sakit. "If you doubt my diagnosis, I can refer you to other physicians."

"hindi na doc, we trust you. Sorry, hindi lang kasi namin matanggap na ganito pala." Inakbay naman ni Nathan si Matthew para matigil na ito sa kakatanong. "I understand Sir Nathan, normal na reaction lang po yun. Well then, I need to attend my other patients. God Bless." Tumango naman sila dito at lumabas na rin sa clinic.
