Time Changes Everything

Chapter 14

I get down stairs and greeted  by JJ and Sandy.
"How are the boys?" JJ asked
"Good, giving Jacob a run for his money." I laughed back
"So, you and your fiancé are really close with the boys?" Sandy asked
"Well we are not engaged. And yeah we are really close with them." I laughed back
"You talk about him like he is, I'm surprised he hasnt asked the question." Sandy laughed
"Oh, trust me he has many times, but she keeps turning it down." JJ laughed
"We are too young to get married, I think. I mean hes twenty-two and Im twenty-one next week, I would kindof like to be older." I laughed
"I completely agree with her decisions about waiting, not matter how perfect they are. And Jacobs a great guy I see him as my son in law already, so does Will." JJ said
"Well I guess I need to meet him than. How about I come down next week and we celebrate both of your birthdays?" Sandy asked
"That would be great." JJ and I both answered

Two Hours later
The door bell rings and Sandy goes to answer it.
JJ turns to me and says "My brother is really nice but his wife is very judgmental. She has been ever since I have met her. When she found out I got pregnant at a young age she has been even worse. I will be there for you and help back you up. Hopefully we can get through this dinner with out a fight."
"Okay, it will be a two against one tonight mom." I smiled back
"Well theres my little sister that doesnt come around any more." A man said as he turned the corner and saw us
"And theres my idiot big brother that doesnt come to DC anymore." JJ said
"Well look at you" he said grabbing my hand and spinning me around  "You are by far the prettiest Jareau in the family." He said with a smile
"Umm, excuse me?" Sandy said looking at him
"Sorry momma she is the second prettiest after you of course." He said with a cheeky smile
"Im Luke, your new uncle." He said
"Im Britt and I dont really think Im a Jareau like you all are." I said back
"Well of course your not you have only been part of this family for maybe two months." His wife I took it as said to me
"Well, Natasha your only a Jareau because Luke married you. Other than that you dont have the blood line." Sandy said back defending me
JJ said "Natasha, look this is my daughter. I dont care what you have to say about me but dont go saying anything about her with out having to deal with me."
JJ pulled me away from the group and said "I know she is going to ask you question after question when you were growing up. Answer what you like. If you want to skip those ten years go for it."
"I mean, they are family and if they really want to know how it was for me I should tell them." I said back
"Its up to you my baby girl and I love you for being so brave." She said kissing my forehead leading me back to the living room
"Okay everyone dinner is ready." Sandy yelled from the dinning room as we all stood to go sit down.
