"Jacob Allen Nolan!" Debra yelled looking at the scene
Jacob was upset and didnt seem to care anymore and snapped
"My last name is LaMontange now. And I want everyone to hear this alright." He said keeping everyones attention "To the family who is here as well as all the friends and partners from the law firm. These two neglected me while I was growing up. Many of you may have heard I was addicted to drugs. That is true. There is also other rumors about me. One being that I threw my life away. I didnt. I fell in love with the most beautiful women in the world who helped me get clean. I married my best friend and we are expecting our first child together. I am not a failure like you have been told. I have been on the deans list at Georgetown every semester and so has Britt. I am opening a crossfit gym in Quantico, Virginia and Britt is going to start working for the FBI. These two have been making me seem like a failure and spreading these lies about me. But in reality they are the failures. They disowned me a couple of months ago." He said getting angrier and angrier
"I changed my last name so I wouldnt have to be associated with them any more." He said grabbing my hand
"You two outside now." His grandpa said walking into the middle of Jacobs speech

We get outside and he walks over to us.
"Really Jacob. You are turning your grandmother death into a speech about how wrong you are treated." He said trying to show intimidation
"Everyone thinks Im a failure and Im sick of it." Jacob said yelling
"Well me and your grandmother never thought of you that way." He said starting to smile
"I know grandma was supportive of me." Jacob said starting to get confused
"I am too. I just never showed it as much. Because of your dad, my son, I have to put on this front." He said meaning it
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Ive been the one paying for your schooling at Georgetown. Your parents didnt know until you brought it up in the hospital. The checks have been from the law firm but from my personal account. I want you to be successful and to follow your dreams." He said looking Jacob in the eyes
"So, they completely cut me off when I went to Georgetown? " Jacob asked getting upset
"Yes, they did. But your grandmother and I believed that you would be great when you got off of the drugs. And we were thankful you met Brittney and she helped you get clean." He said pulling Jacob into a hug.
"I still dont understand." Jacob said still confused
"I know you dont. I will get you two a car to get your stuff from Dylans place. You two will be staying at The Roosevelt Hotel all on me. Order room service or whatever. We all three will go to dinner tomorrow night after the will is read to discuss some things." He said pulling his phone out
"And dont wear that to dinner. Heres my card. Buy something nice for the both of you I dont care about any of the prices for anything. Go to the most high end places. I dont care." He said as he called us a car
He pulled Jacob into a hug and me as well that took me as a surprise
As we walked to get into the car his grandpa yelled behind me
"Congratulations to the both of you on the baby."
