We get to the law firm and I see Jacob handcuffed standing next to mom. He looks different than his usual scruffy self. His hair is styled and he shaved off his scruff. Ive never seen him in anything other than his work out clothes or his jeans but he was looking good in a dress shirt and tie. I walked over to him and gave him a hug he responded by hugging me back.
"I thought you were handcuffed." I said surprised
"Well, Im in the custody of a federal agent and she has enough trust in me not to do anything stupid." He said winking at JJ
"And who dressed you this morning?" I asked looking him up and down before pulling on his tie to bring him down to kiss me
"Well, that would be me." He said smiling
"No. You dont even own a tie." I said laughing
"Well I went online shopping and JJ picked it all up for me." He said pulling her into a side hug
"I even talked him into shaving off that scruff." She said grabbing his face and messing with it like a childs
"I like him with the scruff myself." I said laughing
"Lets go into the office." David said opening the door
We walk in and all eyes are on us.
"Shouldnt he be in a cell?" Mike said looking at us
"Hes only here for the reading and will be going back." David said looking at JJ to leave
"Why is she here?" Debra said looking at me
"Shes part of the family." Jacob said grabbing my hand
"Your not even part of it." Mike said sitting down
"Can we just read the will and get this over with?" Dylan asked as the family lawyer came in
"Aw, yes the Nolan family. Sorry for your loss. We will all miss Linda." He said sitting down with her will
"Thank you." David said as we all sit down
"So, this is the reading of Linda Nolans will. Anything that is read is not to be disputed. This is what she wanted and her wishes should be respected." He said as we all nodded our heads. "When I am finished with your names you may exit the room."
He went through Jacobs uncle and aunt as well as his cousins before getting to Jacobs family.
"She gave me a special request that everyone in Mikes family stays until dismissed." He said looking at all of us
"Im going to read the letter that she wrote to read out loud to the family, please do not interrupt." He said before starting to read the letter.
Well I might as well leave a cliffhanger before the reading. Not sure if it should be in favor of Jacob and Britt or just normal. Thanks for reading 😊
