Chapter 42

I walked Jacob to the couch and he cuddled up next to me like a child does. I just held him as tears streamed down my face.
"Babe." He said looking at me
"Yeah." I said wiping the tears off of both of our faces
"You know I love you right?" He asked
"Yes. I do know that. You know I love you right?" I asked him
"Yes I do." He said "And I love you." He continued as he put his hand on my stomach
"I promise to the both of you to be an amazing  husband and father." He said looking deep into my eyes
"You already are amazing. You are more than that you are perfect." I said putting my hand on top of his
"Im going to have my flaws but I will teach our son to be a man." He said smirking at me
"We dont officially know yet babe. And what if its a girl." I laughed
"Nah, its a boy. Daddy knows for sure." He said laughing as he kissed my stomach
"And if you are a girl, I will be in do much trouble when you get to be a teenager. So, will your grandpa." He laughed kissing me
"Are we going shopping today?" I asked him
"Yes, we are." He said jumping up and pulling me into a hug
"You know what babe? He asked while holding my face with both hands
"What?" I asked confused
"You always have looked beautiful to me but today you are glowing and you look even more beautiful." He said giving me a deep kiss
"I love you." I said as he pulled away
"I love you more. Now lets go I got some studying to do." He said laughing

We get in the car and drive to Barnes and Noble and other stores to get some baby books. We drove around and got lunch at our favorite Mexican food restaurant. We were sitting down when I got a text from JJ
*I hope everything is alright. Henry wants to call you and ask you two something. Call us if you can."
"Who was that?" Jacob asked finishing up paying the bill
"Mom. Henry wants to ask us something." I said standing up and grabbing my purse
"We can call him in the car." He said smiling and grabbed my hand
We get in the car as it blue-toothed us automatically
"Hey, let me get him." JJ said
"Alright." I laughed as I heard her yell for him to come get the phone
"Hello?" His small voice said
"Hey dude. You wanted to ask us something." Jacob said
"Are you guys coming to my game we made it to the finale game and if we win we win the tournament." He said really fast and excited
"Yes. We will be there bud." I said laughing
"Awesome. Bye." He said like a typical seven year old
"So, we will be seeing you soon." JJ said laughing
"Yes you will." I laughed
We said our goodbyes as we headed to his game
"Guess what?" I said looking up from one of the many books we bought
"What?" Jacob asked not taking his eyes off the road
"If we are correct and I am expecting, the baby should be around the size of a pea." I said smiling at him
"And he will have you pea sized memory." He laughed pulling into a parking spot
"Or she!" I said getting out
We paid for our tickets and looked for JJ and Micheal.
"Hey, we made it just in time." I said sitting next to her
"Britt!" Micheal squealed wanting to sit in my lap
"Well hes excited to see you." JJ said laughing
"Wheres Henry and Will?" Jacob asked
"They are having a team meeting. Will might have to leave there was a murder an hour ago." JJ said pointing over to their huddle
"That would break his heart." I said looking at the same smile on both of their faces
"Looks like its over. Go say hi to show him you two are here." JJ said taking back Micheal
We walked over to them and Henry ran and gave me one of the biggest hugs ever.
"You guys actually came." He said getting excited
"We told you we would little man." Jacob said messing with his hair
"B, you look really pretty today." Henry said
We both realized he noticed that I was glowing
"Dude, you dont say that to girls not even you momma." Will said laughing
"Why?" He asked innocently
"Because they always look pretty." Jacob said picking him up and throwing him over his shoulder tickling him
"Are you sure theres nothing you need to mention?" Will said pulling me into a hug
"Uhhh, no. Im going to sit by mom." I said thinking how close we were to being caught

Will never had to leave and was able to coach the game. The excitement was increasing as Henrys team was up to bat in the last inning and the game was tied. Henry was up to bat and he hit the ball to the fence. He ran all the way around the bases sliding into home to make it before the ball.

"SAFE!" The umpire yelled
The loudest cry of being in pain came from the field.
