Chapter 92

Britts POV
Everything was dark and cold. I started to panic. All I could remember were the two headlights behind Jacobs head and the loud sound of it crashing into us.
I heard voices around me
"Shes pregnant." One of them said
"We need to get her to the hospital first." Another said
"Shes in labor." I heard from a shaken voice knowing it was Jacob
The scene around me changed and I was in the house I grew up in before my adoptive parents died.
"Mommy what are you doing here." A little boy around eight asked behind me
"I live here." I laughed turning around to him noticing it was James from my dreams but older
"No you dont." He said laughing
"This is grandma and grandpas house." He said confusing me
"What are you talking about James?" I asked him
"You are not meant to be here. At least not yet." He said smiling
I was still really confused.
"James this isnt funny." I said getting nervous
"Death isnt meant to be funny. But its a good way to cope with it." He smiled looking exactly like Jacob
"Am I dead?" I asked him surprised
"No, you are on the boarder line in between. I was sent to help you make that decision." He said grabbing a hold of my hand
I followed him in to the back yard and we sat on the steps I fell off of and broke my arm when I was five.
"What decision?" I asked
"If you want to continue living or spend time with me forever. " He said smiling
"Look out there." He said pointing to a screen
I looked out and it was me in surgery.
"Raelynn made it out fine and healthy. They are working on you now." He said smiling
"Who are you?" I asked wanting answers
"Your son." He said
"I know that." I said a little irritated
"Your first child. The one you miscarried." He said as his eyes sparkled and a tear ran down my face
"Keep watching." He said turning back to the screen
It was JJ and Will pacing back and forth stopping seeing that the doctor walked into the room they were in
"How are they?" Will asked impatiently
"Jacob was touch and go but we are completely certain he will make a full recovery." He said as I watched them relax a little bit more
"And Britt?" My mom asked
"Shes still in surgery. We are not sure what is going to happen." He said
"What about the baby?" She asked panicked
"Your granddaughter is fine. Nothing happened to her and she is completely healthy." He said walking away
"A granddaughter." Will said quietly
"Raelynn." JJ said smiling
"How did you know?" Will asked surprised
"Jacob told me in the ambulance when the drugs were kicking in." She smiled
"Well I be damned." He said as they both sat down

"What do I do?" I asked looking at James
"I have one more thing to show you." He said smiling
I looked back at the screen and I was older like mid thirties.
"Mom!" A teenage voice yelled
"In the kitchen." I yelled back
A thirteen year old girl that looked exactly like me with small features of Jacob walked in.
"Bennett is being an asshole." She said sitting at the breakfast nook
"Language." I said turning around to her
"What did he do this time?" I asked crossing my arms
"Mom!" Another yell came running into the kitchen and it was a little boy around age eight looking exactly like James
"Bennett can you stop yelling." I said looking at him
It was my family growing. I had another child in the future.
"This is all I was allowed to show you." James said as the screen went blank
"Is this what I have waiting for me?" I asked as he nodded
"I will visit in your dreams. Dont worry." He said smiling
"I wasnt." I said wiping the tears away
"I need you to see two people before you make your choice." He said standing up and running into the house
There stood my adoptive mom and dad
"We are so sorry." My mon said pulling me into a hug
"Bug, we didnt know they were going to hurt you." My dad said using my nickname I havent heard in years
"You need to go back to your family." My mom said
"As much as we miss you and you miss us. Its not you time yet." My dad said as everything started to go black
"I love you." I yelled as they yelled it back

I heard beeping sounds around me and a hand holding on to mine not wanting to let go.
My eyes fluttered open and I saw Will and JJ asleep at the other side of the room and Jacob asleep next to me
"Your awake." The nurse who was doing something with my IV said waking up everyone

I asked the simple answers and received back all the answers.
"So, a week I was in a coma." I said still not handling it well
"Wheres my baby?" I asked frantically
"Right here." A nurse said walking in with a pink blanket and putting my baby in my arms.
"She beautiful." I said as a few tears slipped
"Just like her mommy." Jacob said kissing my temple

I know I posted a lot today. Give me some feedback on if I should make this into two books. 😊
