Time Changes Everything

Chapter 35

"Britt dont ever go out again." Will said standing in front of my bed.
"Dont listen to him. Hes just a nervous wreak since you have been missing." Jacob said laughing
"I was not the nervous wreak, you were Jacob. Punching walls and freaking out." Will said laughing coming over to the side of the bed
"Can I have time alone with her?" JJ said speaking up
Both Jacob and Will nodded and walked out the door
"I was so scared. I thought I was going to lose you." She said crying sitting to the side of my grabbing my hand
"But you didnt. You tried to get rid of me once and I came back. I dont think you easily can get rid of me." I smiled at her
"This isnt the time for jokes Britt." She smiled wiping her tears away
"I know. Its how I deal with it. I was taken..." I started to say while crying
"Shhh, its ok I have you." JJ said climbing into bed with me and holding me while I cried
"I could have been killed. They wanted to rape me." I said crying into her
"Can I tell you something?" She asked and I nodded my head
"I was taken too. I was beaten and electrocuted and his name will always hunt me. We will get you help, I promise." She said rubbing my back
"Im glad I found you" I said starting to get emotionally tired
"Just close your eyes and go to sleep nothing will happen to you." She said as I slowly drifted off

A few hours later

I started to wake up to voices around me. I kept my eyes closed to listen in.
"Shes going to be fine. Shes a Jareau." The voice I guessed to be Lukes
"Shes been through a lot growing up but shes only twenty one she can only take so much." Will said
"We just have to be there for her." JJ said
"I want to move the wedding." Jacob said
Why does he want to move our wedding I thought to myself
"Why?" Sandy asked
"I want her to feel comfortable again. I dont want her to be stressed or worried about it." Jacob said grabbing on to my hand
"I can respect that." Tom said surprising me not knowing he was there
I opened my eyes looking at everyone in the room
"Well look whos awake" Luke joked
"What are you all doing here?" I asked
"Well when you get taken it becomes a family thing to come all together to make sure you are alright." Sandy said sitting at the foot of my bed
"Even if you dont want us." Tom said smiling
"I love my family" I said smiling

3 Months later

We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas as a family at Sandys. I was seeing a psychologist every other week and it seems to be helping. I havent had a nightmare in the last month. We have been finishing up last minute touches for the wedding that is happening next month. It was being planned to be in Sandys barn and my friends would be my bridesmaids and Jacob a few of his friends and Henry, Micheal our cute little ring bear.
I was sitting at the table going through our mail looking for all the invitations we sent to guest when I found one that came from Manhattan, New York. My heart stopped and I called Jacob.
"Hey, babe."  He said picking up
"Hey, so is there something  you need to tell me?" I asked
"No." He said
"I just got an invitation back from New York." I told him
"Did you open it?" He asked
"No, because I only sent one to Dylan and Austin. I got theirs last week saying they were going to attend." I told him
"Open it." Jacob said
As I opened it the card said that their will be two attending, Mike and Debra Nolan.
"You sent one to your parents without telling me?" I questioned angrily
"No, I didnt. I promise. I didnt want them there in the first place." He said trying not to raise his voice.
"Im going to Moms. I will see you tonight at dinner." I said hanging up

So, after I finish this one Im thinking of another writing another one about the year we didnt know about with Will and JJ dating,  but with a little twist to it. 😊
