RYAN'S POV

angel and I were sitting on the couch in the down stairs living room talking and laughing.
The kids fell asleep about 20 minutes ago so it was just the two of us.

"Oh my god I can't believe you remember that!" She laughed throwing her back.

"How could I not forget the day I came to your house the first time and saw your room filled with stuffed animals. I couldn't believe a 14 year old still had all of those toys." I chuckled.

Angel's cheeks started to turn red as she just smiled. A strand of her hair fell in her face so she pushed it back behind her ear.

It fell to a comfortable silence. I took the chance to take in all her features. Her once long light brown hair was now a little past her collar bones and was dyed to a dark chocolate brown color, her green hazel eyes still full of light and joy she always had. Her skin tone was a glowing tan color instead of a ghostly pale she was before. Her naturally pink lips that I once couldn't keep my own off of, curved into a smile.

Her face has filled out more giving her the look of motherhood and also kept her looking young.

"What?" She chuckled.

"Nothing I'm just processing how much your looks have changed." I slightly smiled.

"What is that a bad thing?" She acted hurt but kept her beautiful smile plastered on her face.

"No you've just gotten more beautiful than the last time I saw you." As soon as the word left my mouth I regretted them slightly.

Her face fell and she was hit with confusion. As soon as she was about to say something the door opened and Alex came through the doorway.
His eyes landed on me,  before he could set his eyes on angel he shot me a glare.

"Hey babe." Angel said getting up from her seat and hugged Alex.

I rolled my eyes and got up adjusting my clothing. I cleared my throats to get their attention.

"Thanks for letting me see our son angel, you can text me when you need me to come over or if you're dropping the both of them off at my place in the morning." She nodded so I took her unspoken answer and let myself out.

I got in my car and started it's engine. Before I could drive off angel came running out of the house. I furrowed my eyebrows but waited for her.

"Before you leave I wanted to ask you if you and I could grab some coffee or some food some time this week?"

"Just the two of us?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I mean I figured since we will be seeing a lot of each other might as well catch up anyways right?" She smiled. Shocked I replicated her smile and nodded my head in agreement.

"Cool I'll see you tomorrow morning."  She walked back up the drive way and into the house. Once she was out of my sight I made the drive back to the first part of the city to my house.
