...and threats went around...

"I see him."

"He is coming!"

"Quick hide! We don't want to get caught!"

I dashed into a closet. The closet that Kai was stuck in from that robot. Looks like I am gonna be stuck in here too, for awhile. I slowly shut the door leaving it ajar so I could see him.

"Someone shut the light off!"

I heard a pitter-patter of feet and a click. The world went dark.

I sat down and peeked out of the door.

First, I saw the shadow looming in the doorway. Next, footsteps echoed into the room. The lights flickered on.

I saw Kai sitting under a table frozen stiff. His chest was moving very slowly.

A person next to me gasped.

The footsteps stopped.

I flinched as I felt a hand grab my arm. I turned around to find Nya staring at Kai. Her eyes wide she looked at me, "Now."

I shook my head. "Not now. Nya. Not yet. Remember the plan."

"I don't care about the plan," she whispered haughtily. "He is going to find my brother. Then the plan will be ruined!"

"Kai will think if something if he is caught. He always does." I assured.

All of a sudden the footsteps slowly moved toward the closet where Nya and I were.

Oh, no.

Nya opened her mouth to yell but I clamped my hand over her mouth.

Not yet.

"Cole? Lloyd? Are you in here?"

Silence.

"Jay? Kai? Nya?"

Silence.

He sighed, muttered something and slowly walked out of the room. 

Slowly the footsteps faded away and then silence.

I told Nya to stay behind while I would go and check if he was gone. I crawled out of the closet and peeked out of the room. Looking left and right I nodded and stood.

"Okay, it's safe guys."

Cole was the first to come out of his hiding spot. "Oh man! That was too close! We are not even done yet!" He glanced around the room. "We don't even have the streamers up yet."

"Our presents are wrapped though!" Kai said stretching.

I winced as I heard his fingers crack.

"Eww!" Nya exclaimed crawling out of the closet. Her nose wrinkled in disgust.

"No sis, that felt good!"

"It didn't sound like it!" Lloyd explained standing up from behind the couch. He flipped over it and landed on the cushions. "Sounded like that hurt!"

I nodded. "That did sound very painful Kai."

Kai in reply stuck out his tongue.

"We should hurry before he gets back." Cole grabbed some balloons and started to blow them up.

Lloyd hopped off the couch and walked over to Cole. He grabbed the streamers on the table, climbed a ladder and started to hang them.

Nya went to help Kai with the presents that were in the closet.

I decided to help Cole. Walking over to Cole I tripped on a chair leg, stumbled, and fell onto Cole who hit the table. The balloon, that Cole was blowing up, flew. Making a high pitched weeeing noise that smack right into Kai's face. Kai carrying three presents fell back in surprise causing all the presents to fall onto him.
