"I'm dropping out of university," I mutter.

"What?" my mom screeches on the other end of the telephone line.

"I'm sorry," I beg. "Please understand though! I have to...I can't explain but please! I have to. Please, I can't go to university anymore!"

"Is Hailey still going to university?" my mom asks, calmer.

"Uh...let me ask her," I answer.

I cover up the place that allows my mom to hear what I'm saying.

"Hailey!" I shout.

"Yes?" I hear Hailey shout back; she's up in her room, probably on her computer.

"Are you still going to university here?" I ask.

"No!" she answers.

"Okay! Thanks!" I shout.

I take my hand off the microphone thing.

"No, she's not," I tell my mom through the phone.

"Does her mom know?"

"Hailey, does your mom know that you're not doing university anymore?" I shout.

"Yes!"

"Yeah, she did," I answer my mom.

"Okay, fine. But please, remember to practise your algebra," my mom says, sighing.

"Thanks Mom. Love you," I answer. "Bye."

"Bye, Rave. I miss you. Love you," my mom replies, hanging up.

I put the phone down on a table and run up the stairs to my room. I go in my room and lock the door; I need my privacy.

I open up my computer and go on the Internet. I've been thinking about starting an acting career. I know I haven't gone to any acting school but I've been thinking. We need to make money somehow. Hailey already has a part time job at MacDonald's on Mondays and Wednesdays and a part time job as a waiter on the weekends, including Friday. And Blake is gone literally the entire day on all weekdays, working at a music studio. I feel odd, the only one without a job. Life is going to be way more complicated now.

Sorry this one is short. I have to sleep (as usual). I'll try to write more tomorrow but I can't guarantee it. Don't forget to follow me and vote for my story! Thanks for reading!
