Camouflaged

Chapter 22

I open my eyes. I feel a soft kiss on my neck, warm and moist.

"Morning, Alex," I murmur, almost falling back asleep.

"Morning, babe."

I run my hand on Alex's toned muscles, breathing him in. Our bodies are almost tangled together.

"Last night..." Alex whispers.

"I've never done that."

"It doesn't matter, hun. Don't you worry about that. I love you and that's all that matters."

I smile.

"I love you," I whisper.

"I love you too."

I look over at the clock. It's 5:00.

"I have to go back to my room," I say.

"Why?" Alex complains.

"Because if the rest of the cast knows we're actually dating, the news will spread like wildfire and how am I supposed to explain that to my...my boyfriend that I'm cheating on?" I answer.

Alex sighs and gives me one last kiss.

"Fine. Go," he responds, giving in.

I get off the bed and put on my clothes from last night. I quietly open the door. I look back at Alex, blow him one last kiss and disappear as I run back to my room.

~Alex's POV~

What did I just do? I just slept with the hottest and sexiest girl ever, who happens to have a boyfriend already. Oh well. She agreed to cheat on him for me. And she said she loved me.

I lay there,  watching as Raven disappears. I get up and put on some clothes.

When I walk to the bar, Raven's not there yet but Sophie is.

"Morning, Soph," I say.

Sophie looks up at me.

"Hi, Alex," she says in her cute, childish way.

"Raven down yet?" I ask.

"No. I thought she was with you. She always comes down with you, right?" Sophie answers.

She sure does notice things.

"Yeah. Usually. Not today though, I guess," I reply, shrugging.

After a while though, the goddess Raven walks in the bar. She spots us and walks over to our table.

"Morning, Soph," she says, ruffling the girl's hair.

Raven sits down beside me, taking my hand. I squeeze hers lightly.

A waiter comes over to us and we order our food.

"Did you eat, Soph?" Raven asks.

Sophie shakes her head.

"What do you want?" Raven asks.

"Can I have pancakes please?" Sophie answers.

"And some pancakes with maple syrup," Raven tells the waiter.

After breakfast, we're whisked to the Ravenwood/Duchannes house for more acting. In the morning, we manage to finish up the Ridley scene and then we move onto a scene where Lena and Ethan are kissing (yay!) but then Lena literally starts to burn Ethan. Riley has to run up and save Ethan before he literally dies.

"Ethan, we'll never be able to be together. I'm a Caster and you're a Mortal," Lena (Raven) says.

"We'll find a way," I (Ethan) answer. "Don't you love me?"
