Part 20

*Shennika's POV*- At the Hospital

I sat in the waiting room feeling scared to death. My heart raced and my mind echoed piercingly- my body quivered and the shock of everything made me just the more restless.

My mind kept replaying what happened over and over again - carving every frame into my memory. When I had heard that engine explode, seeing the fire-my heart stopped. I didn't know what to do. I just started running even though my sides hurt so much.

Shanell. My mind echoed as I wedged my phone out of my pocket and called my sister. Voice mail! No! I shock it off and called more times but it kept ringing out. I panicked.

"S-SHANELL UGH!! The one time I need you to pick up-uh!! It's Ross! a-and Billy he-they had a accident, a crash! I I I Kelli she mmh. It looked so bad!! No they have to be ok!! Uh! People! Please just call me when you get this!!" I hung up and ran faster.

A man, lady and the little girl that spoke to Ross and I by the tree ran up to me, "hey! Are you friends with the two boys!?" the lady said in a rush. I nodded sadly then she pulled me into a comforting hug, I looked over her shoulder seeing the man come off his phone "I've called an ambulance already, come on!"

We ran and fought through the crowd, I jumped seeing the ambulance- they already had Ross inside, they were taking Billy up the ramp. I gasped then turned to the man who grabbed my arm "hey!! This girl, she's friends with them and knows what happened" he shouted to the policewoman who was trying to move the crowd on.

The policewoman nodded then we pushed through the crowd to her. She pulled me onto the ambulance ramp "ok you can board and go with them to the hospital, we'll try and contact their families."

"Uhh Rocky! Yeah Rocky! He's Ross' older brother, the blonde one there" I pointed at Ross' unconscious body "I-we left him earlier at the skatepark near here" I bit my lip fighting back tears then looked at Billy who was laying unconscious in the van as well "but for Billy I don't have any numbers for him" I said in a shaky voice.

"please take a seat and don't worry we'll try our best to contact his family as we--" another police person hit the side of the van and handed us bags- mine and Ross' that we left by the tree!

I grabbed the bags and threw mine on my shoulder then shuffled through Ross' until I found his phone. I handed it to the policewoman "here, all the numbers you need for Ross."

She nodded and hopped off the ramp closing up the van. I took a seat in the dark van. It was quiet apart from the sound of their monitors. Beep. Beep. Beep, went their monitors that showed that their heart was still beating.

It relaxed me abit knowing that. "I'm so sorry, please be ok" my voice broke into a whisper. I made my way over to Ross in the moving ambulance van and slowly moved his long fringe out of his face wishing to see his eyes. Both Ross and Billy had hazel eyes- I really wanted to see them. I really wanted them to be ok.

I snuck a look at Billy- he looked like a baby, his cheeks were red and his lips were slightly gaped. I couldn't imagine what it must of been like for him. Kelli did this. He went through a wooden fence while quad biking which he loved to do.

Ross got hurt too and it was all my fault. I should of tried harder to stop the race. I took both their hands and squeezed them as I tried hard to push back the rush of tears that wanted to spill out.

The ambulance van bumped hard over over a speed bump in the road making us jog a bit. I guess we were close to the hospital. I took a deep breath then sat back down.

The door was then swung open, I squinted at the bright light then hopped out and followed behind as they wheeled both Ross and Billy to casualty. I was stopped by a doctor and told to go to the waiting room.

I sighed sadly then walked in. The Lynch family were there already, seeing them startled me even though I knew why they were here. I gasped as Riker pinned me against the wall "what the hell happened!!" he shouted in a shaky voice searching my face for an explanation.
