Part 42

*Shanell's POV*

At Mighty Med try-outs (Earlier that day)

Ok breathe. Alright Shanell you can do this! Because you can do anything if you wanted too. Well you can't back out now, Bradley's counting on you! I thought to myself as I paced nervously outside the waiting lounge. I froze when I realised I was being watched by Jake short who had just come out of the director's office with a tanned brunette haired girl.

He gave me a simply smile then hugged the brunette, she smiled at him, "I'll see you after try outs Jake," she moved her side bag onto her shoulder and hugged her book walking into the waiting lounge with everyone else.

I breathed out, suddenly feeling really sick as I grew more nervous. Jake put his hand in his pocket and tapped his leg with the papers he held in his other hand, "nervous huh?"

"Yeah," I sighed with a frown looking at the ground then at him with a weak side smile. He looked down the hall on his right then walked closer to me, "hey no need to be nervous, the director is super cool so there's nothing to worry about, trust me you'll have fun," he smiled stealing a hand full of cookies from the snack cart, "you know why you're here, remember it and just do it, I gotta go, see you around-tryouts maybe." He walked around me then jogged to catch up with the assistant commissioner.

He's right, this is my dream, I've wanted a chance like this for a long time, I gotta do it! I nodded to myself then pushed open the door. Bradley looked up from whatever he was writing in the cast panel and smiled at me waving. I nodded a smile to him, yep I can do this...as long as I don't freak out.

The director entered the room "alright everyone quiet down and have a seat" almost immediately everyone dropped to their seats and gave the director their full attention, his assistant came out wearing sunglasses and walked with big steps to stand by the director handing him some papers. He took them, "thanks for coming to Disney's Mighty Med extended try-outs, you'll all be seen in groups and individually depending on how you perform in the first stage, but not to worry we'll discuss it further..."

The director's assistant took half the papers and walked by everyone, giving us a wide creepy smile "these are character logs so you'll have a clear idea of the types of characters you're going for." As soon as I got hold of the paper, I was anxious and excited to see what the characters were like- there were so many! some very cool ones.

A girl on my right tapped my shoulder "so what do you think?" I turned to look at her- it was the brunette that was with Jake! My eyes darted to her book that was on her lap, I stared at the fancy letterings that read: Paris B. She laughed "I doodle when I'm bored."

I snapped out of my sudden daydream and laughed, "sorry- Paris is such a nice name, um I'm Shanell." She stared at me blankly for a moment then grabbed my hand and gave it a strong shake smiling sharply at me, "nice to meet you Shanell."

I nodded then looked back down at the character log, "there's so many good characters on here, so hard to choo-"

"I like Skylar Storm, she's fiery!" she beamed cutting me off slightly, I gave her a brief look then laughed, "yep she sounds fiery, I'd love to get a part like that, but it says you have to have a gymnastic background but I have been doing karate for quite a while and cheerleading so how hard can it be."

"Good for you, that's the spirit!" she laughed then picked up the paper bringing it closer to her face, "these directors expect a lot from us!" I quickly looked around and felt relieved seeing the director and his assistant were out of ear shot, "hey-hey Paris watch it, you don't want to get us both on the naughty list on our first day of try outs do you?"

She laughed sinking down into her chair, "hey it's the truth though, you can not silence the truth!!" she wailed louder then expected, my eyes widened as we were getting strange looks from the creepy assistant. We exploded with laughter, "see we're not on the naughty list, we're simply making memories, trust me, we're gunna be remembered here."
