Part 33

*Shennika's POV*

I walked inside the house and slowly closed the door behind me. The conversation between Billy and I played in my mind as I leaned against the door frowning still in a trance. "Did you get lost?" I ignored my mum's sarcasm as I walked to the stairs. I got around half way up when Maggie ran down greeting me then pulled me faster up to Bethany's room.

They were still on the phone to Ross- they had him on speaker. I smiled to myself- poor guy, who knows what weird stuff they were making him listen to while I was gone. "Ross, Ross Shennika's bac-" Bethany said loudly talking over the phone. "Good! put her on please" Ross interrupted slightly.

I smiled taking the phone off Bethany and putting it off speaker "hi Ross" I looked up seeing Maggie, Bethany and Shanell staring at me wanting to listen. I gave them a look "um Ross, yeah one minute." I put my hand over the phone and whispered to them "do you mind- actually you know what I'm going to my room" I started walking to down the hall, "and don't follow!" I said before they could argue.

I quickly closed the door behind me and sat on my bed sighing holding the phone up to my ear. "hmmm you told them" I laughed at the laziness in his voice- he sounded slightly tired but in some way it was kinda sexy.  

"Why were long getting back?" there was the question I was waiting for him to ask. I fiddled with my necklace and held it up to my lips before I spoke "well let's just say I had a visitor, he scared me when he held me from behind."

"Who?!" Ross' voice went a little high pitched, I held in my laugh "Billy he-" I heard Ross shuffle a bit, "WHAT! no no wait what!? so you sayin' he was just randomly outside you're house!"

"Yeah, he was just there by the trees, I elbowed him in his side when he covered my eyes- he is so lucky I saw him, I was just about to-" I heard Ross breath out, "what did he want?" he finally asked after a slight pause, his voice sounded slightly raspy.

"He um" I breathed out not knowing whether or not too tell him the whole truth, I shook my head- no I have to, I don't want to lie to him. "He wanted to talk about why I've been ignoring his messages and how he feels and nothing he does- him going out with Kelli won't hurt him anymore then what he is already."

"Why have you been ignoring his messages?" I groaned hearing him say that "no Ross listen you're missing the point- he's going to date Kelli so she'd back off trying to hurt me and Bethany, he shouldn't have to do that, I was gunna keep my distance so she wouldn't hurt anyone but she's still hurting people." 

I covered my face with my free hand sighing "I don't know what to do" there was another pause which meant Ross was thinking, sometimes his silence made me nervous- especially if it was over the phone because I couldn't see his facial expression.

"Shennika...are you um, having second thoughts about us-me?" he said in a quiet but worried voice. I held my breath and squeezed the necklace he gave me, "Ross, nothing right now will ever make me have second thoughts about you, or not want you, one thing I've realised tonight from talking to Billy is that he was right- I do love you."

"You do...?" he said cutely in a fluttered tone, I laughed "yeah so much, don't forget that, you have nothing to worry about- yes I care about Billy but you're my...Ross." He laughed at how I awkwardly avoided the 'B' word, "ah look at us, we're starting to sound like somethin' off a movie!"

I giggled, "aren't we just" I heard him breathe out again, "oh and Shennika just so you know because I know you get confused...I love you too." I rolled my eyes and smiled widely awing to myself when a thought occurred to me- "hey Ross am I still seeing you tomorrow?"

"Yup" he simply said. "Are you gunna give me a clue on where you're taking me?" I asked trying to get something out of him. He hummed in thought,"nope- well actually here's somethin' lets just say it's a night thing."
