Part 52

*Shennika's POV*

I shut the door harder than originally intended and honestly, it didn't make me feel any better. I bit my lip and forced my hands into my pockets and shuffled through my side bag, ah where is that phone. When I couldn't find it, sudden panic took over me as I thought quickly of all the places my phone could of been left.

But it was hard to think when my mind was so cloudy that even logic seemed like something foreign. Ross was all I could think about, I shouldn't have left him. Not  out there on his own, he's never left on his own. He always has someone with him. Then a thought occurred to me, what if he got jumped by fans or got hurt or is still out looking for me. 

I kicked off my shoes and hung my side bag onto the coat peck next to the mirror. I folded my arms, my mind still distant in thought. But what if he's gone home. Perfectly fine, chilled back on his sofa with a can of cola watching The Vampire Diaries or that soap opera he's so obsessed over, it was a possibility as such, should I even be worrying? 

I  shook my head at the idea, yeah maybe he's already home and safe, lounging with his family, fighting for his turn for the TV remote. I walked into the living and nearly had a heart attack finding that the Lynch's had inhabited my usual chill out zone.

"Hey Shennika, where's Ross?" Ryland asked looking up from his phone. I gulped. Guess Ross isn't lounging at home with his family since they're all here! I awkwardly backed up to get out of the room but I bumped into Ratliff in the process.

"Whoa, I gotcha girl," he grinned as he steadied me on my hyperactive feet, "hey don't you answer your phone? gee you're gettin' just as bad as our Ross, what were you two kids up to anyway?" he chuckled to Rocky before taking a bite out of a pink glazed Donut my mum had just brought from the shop.

Before I could bring myself to respond, Shanell entered the room while Bradley quickly raced up the stairs to collect something by the looks of it.

"Whoa!" she said loudly as her eyes widened in surprise taking in all the Lynch's that had greeted me a moment ago. She walked past me in excitement, "hey guys, it isn't my birthday" she joked, walking more into the living room to welcome them all with hugs. She pulled back out from Rocky's arms, "don't mean to sound blunt, but what you guys all doing here?"

Ryland and Riker both nodded at each other before pointing to me with emphasis, "your sister and our brother," they said as if that was enough to explain this whole situation.

"Oh! I almost forgot" Shanell jumped up, reaching into her pocket and pulled out something shiny and black, "here, you left your phone back at the field, Kelli had it but Joseph got it back for you, he sends his love" she winked playfully, laughing at her own joke.

"Joseph huh?" Rocky eyed me motherly, "Mmhmm, gurll you don't waste no time" he chuckled cracking up at his banter as he waved a finger at me with puckered lips. I shook my head with a smile.

"Hey I didn't really speak to him, he was just there with Kelli and her lot of quad bikers" I shrugged before pulling my hair back into a high ponytail. We all turned to Riker who almost did a spit take at the mention of her name.

"Did you just say Kelli?" he choked out making us all grin wildly; I nodded then turned my attention to Stormie who had a troubled look on her face. I went over and sat next to her; she quickly turned to me with deep hazel eyes, "isn't Ross with you?"

I sighed, feeling sadden by how sweet her voice was, "I was honestly going to ask you the same thing, before I walked in of course, I thought he would of went home to you but when I saw you guys here, I..." I think she sensed how bad I was feeling because she pulled me closer to her in a half hug and gestured me to tell her everything. I don't know how she does it but she always manages to get the whole truth out of you. There's nothing Mrs Lynch doesn't know about when it comes to her family's lives and anyone who's in it.
