Part 23

*Shennika's POV*

I looked through Ross' room window and saw him sound asleep curled up with his blanket and his blonde fringe covering his face. I smiled briefly then headed back to the waiting room. I was about to open the door when I heard something.

"Shennika!!" I heard my name from down the hall, I looked around until something caught my eye. I saw Shanell running from the elevator with my mum and Bradley following behind her.

"Shennika, OMG are you ok?! are you hurt!" she said in a rush examining me from head to toe. I smiled back at her with wide eyes. She gasped, "Ross and Billy are they-"

"Yeah they're fine, Ross got off with minor injuries but Billy got small fractures and stitches since he went through a wooden fence"
Shanell gasped again "a fence?!" the colour drained from her face and her eyes watered restlessly "how..."

I groaned "Kelli tampered with their bikes. yep Kelli Berglund- Billy's bestfriend! she hurt them and she didn't even give a proper reason why, she said I drove her to it" I looked down narrowing my eyes in thought.

Shanell shock her head "wow, that's messed up man!" I couldn't resist but let out a laugh, the things she comes out with. Bradley and mum finally caught up. I hugged them in relief.

"Shennik you should have called me" my mum said in a sadden voice. I smiled at her then hugged her again "sorry."

I turned and hit Shanell in the arm "why did you take so long to get my message!" she laughed looking at Bradley then at me "hey I was on set filming, I'm an extra now!" she beamed.

My jaw dropped "that's great Shan!" she raised an eye brow at me "you don't sound happy" I shook my head at her then smiled "no really I am happy for you, I'm just tired."

The waiting room door opened from further up the hall behind us, "Its so awesome being on set, I met these 3 girls who are so fun to be around and oh there's this girl called lauren- oooo she's just sooo- oh my Riker!" I followed her eyes and looked back seeing Riker come out of the waiting room.

"I'm just gonna get a drin- hey Shennika you're back" he waved and walked over to us then smiled at Shanell since she was staring at him with wide eyes. I laughed putting my hands in my pockets, "how's Billy?" Riker asked me.

"He has a few fractures and stitches, I left him with Kelli since she came to visit him" I said folding my arms looking at Shanell then up at Riker who was also folding his arms.

"What!" we all turned to Rocky hearing his raspy tone. He was standing in the doorway of the waiting room- he over heard our conversation, "Kelli's here!? where is she!?" he said angrily then started speeding up the hall but stopped at a junction not knowing which way to go.

"Bro she's probably long gone" Riker shouted after him as we went after Rocky who looked like he was going to kill someone. Shanell and I nodded agreeing with Riker then we heard the elevator ding and slide open.

Our eyes widened seeing Kelli exit the elevator with a bunch of other people. Bad timing. Rocky looked at us then narrowed his eyes at Kelli flaring his nostrils slightly. She jerked back in shock seeing us.

"You! get here!" he growled loudly, she gasped then began running left down the hall, Rocky started running after her "Oi get back here! I'm talking to you!!" but he got caught in the crowd which seemed to be getting thicker with people and obstacles, he jumped peering over and saw Kelli running further away and out the exit.

He groaned and was about to go forward when Riker pulled him back, "leave it bro it ain't worth it." Rocky turned back with shiny eyes and shook his head "but she hurt Ross, she can't get away with it Rik!"

Riker nodded "I know" he looked back at me and Shanell who were watching then turned back to Rocky, "but chasing her down like a blood hound won't make it any better!" Rocky rolled his eyes smiling to himself, "now lets get back, we'll be hearing from Ross' doctor soon."

Walking into the waiting room my mum was chatting away to Stormie and next to her Rydel was dropping to sleep. Their younger brother Ryland and their dad Mark left not too long ago according to Rocky.

I sat in the chair next to my mum, she handed me my jacket that she brought with her in case I was cold since it was night now. I looked over at Shanell and Bradley who were talking- well Shanell was doing most the talking. I began drifting asleep when Ross' doctor entered with an update.

"Ross has mentioned he has a pain in his neck leading onto the upper frame of his spinal chord, we've examined him and it's become a concern, we think it's best if he stays over night for observation and we'll examine him more in the morning" the doctor said holding up a clip board of notes.

Rocky elbowed Rydel because she was slightly snoring then he groaned loudly. "Thank you doctor" Stormie quickly said hitting Rocky's arm. The doctor nodded and left. "come on it's getting late we best get going, I'll ring your dad" Stormie said leaving the room.

My mum stood up coming off the phone to Bradley's dad "yes we best get going too, Bradley your dad is close he's going to meet us outside because parking is bad."

Stormie came back in and we hugged everyone goodbye, "Take care Karla" Stormie said hugging my mum, "Shennika, I'll let you know if there's any news on Ross" she said smiling at me. I nodded "thank you" then we left.

We got inside Bradley's dad work car and drove onto the freeway, heading for home.
