Part 24

"Where's Bethany?" I finally asked, "I mean she still couldn't be at the mall." My mum cleared her throat, "After her and Maggie went to the shopping centre, Bethany went to Maggie's, I haven't seen her since then but she should be back at the house now."

"Oh, ok" I leaned back in my seat and looked out the window of the car seeing we were going up the hill that lead to our penthouse. Bradley's dad pulled up outside the front door. "Home sweet home" he smiled.

I unbuckled and got out the car with my mum and Shanell. "Thanks Chris, see you in the morning" my mum said getting out last. Bradley climbed to the front seat and beeped the horn then wound down his window "BYE!"

We laughed and walked inside after my mum opened the door with her keys. I collapsed on the sofa spreading out "what?" I said to mum who was staring at me smiling, I moved up on the sofa arm rest and laughed "what?"

She shrugged and hung up her coat onto the coat hook then turned back to me with her hands on her hips, "so you and Ross huh?" I got up and went into the kitchen next to her not saying a word. She followed me "ah come on Shennika, there must be something, because I'm pretty sure someone wouldn't go through all of this, a rollercoaster of emotions if the person wasn't special to them."

I stopped and turned back to her shrugging and smiling shyly "am I that transparent?" she smiled widely nodding then we both laughed. "Look, don't get too excited, its still early days and I don't want to jinks it, things are a tad complicated" I leant back against the edge of the sink, "well I least I think it is."

At that moment Bethany walked in, "ah good, your back" she hugged me and took my hand and started pulling me upstairs "the mall is AMAZING, wish you could of been there! oh but don't worry I brought you cutest stuff, these shoes were jus-" I pulled back from here, "shoes, the mall, is that what we're seriously talking about!?"

She looked at me confused "um... what's wrong?" I sighed then walked past her into her bedroom, she followed me in. I looked back and told her about everything that happened not leaving out a single thing. She listened intensively and gasped a few times but she didn't interrupt.

"Kelli..." Bethany said staring down at her phone that was on top of her bag next the wall charging, "she could of-Arh! did she seriously run away from Rocky?" she giggled a bit still a tad angry.

I nodded "yep, she looked so scared when she saw us, but then what did she expect? Rocky to be all smiles." She shook her head laughing "so funny how Billy basically kicked her out after you left."

I smiled then she gasped "ok so you and Ross are basically together now" I nodded as she continued "so where does this leave Billy in all this?"

"What do you mean? Me being with Ross is nothing to do with him, and besides with Kelli being like this all because I was friends with him, I would hate for him and Ross to get hurt by her again." I got up and walked to my room.

"So you're not going to be friends with him anymore?" Bethany said walking after me. I turned to her and shrugged "If it means he's safe then yeah, I'll keep my distance."

"But he so obviously likes y--" she whined walking closer to me, I groaned cutting her off "no Bethany!" I pushed her out of my room before she could argue, "look no more for today, I just want to shower and go to bed, we'll talk tomorrow, now night" I blew her a kiss as she flashed a forced smile at me then sighed "ok night."

The next morning I ran downstairs and took the phone off my mum seeing it was Stormie with news on Ross, I held the phone close to my ear and walked over to Bethany who was eating cereal and watching TV, ruffled her hair and moved quickly before she could touch me back. I smiled and sat on the other sofa.
