Chapter 12- She Nearly Didn't Make It

The past 2 weeks has flew over far too fast but has been very eventful. Jayne had been having something called 'Braxton Hicks' she explained to me that they can occur just so the cervix was ready so she would be able to give birth she also told me that she experienced them in the beginning of her pregnancy, they had been causing her awful discomfort at some parts she didn't know where or what she wanted to do with herself so most of the time I ended up rubbing her back just to soothe her and keep her calm

9:00 am Wednesday 15th

Jayne and I had just sat down in tutor and waited for Mrs Schrowder to call the register. We had been sat for 5 minutes and Jayne hadn't stop squirming beside me,

"Jayne are you okay?" I turned to her,

"I'm fine, stop worrying" she giggled,

"Of course I'm going worry you could go into labour anytime now" I smiled as I held her hand and smiled at her to just assure her that i was always there

~Period 1 Science 9:45~

We had been been sat in Science for half an hour and Jayne was still sat squirming but it wasn't as subtle as it was when we were sat in tutor turning around to look at her,

"Its just Braxton Hicks" she smiled as she stroked my hand under the table,

"Are you sure it isn't labour contractions?" I asked,

"Nah, I've still got about 3 weeks" she shook her head, "just leave it babe I'm okay" she smiled at me,

"Promise you're okay" I whispered back,

"Guys everything okay?" asked Miss Gaunt,

"Sorry Miss Gaunt everything's Okay" I assured her as I averted my eyes towards Jayne,

"Okay, just don't interrupt me again" she replied as she carried on with what she was teaching on the interactive whiteboard behind her.

After 15 minutes Jayne seemed to settle down a little bit and was focused on her work just as the bell chimed overhead,

"Geography?" she asked I looked at her and nodded at her throwing my bag onto my back as I took her hand and walked out of the lab and headed down towards humanities towards Mrs Crows classroom

~Period 2 Geography 10:20~

We had been sat in Geography 15 minutes and Jayne began squirming beside me again I brushed it off and carried on with my work and let her get on with it until her hand grabbed my leg forcefully causing me to jump and collide with the under side of the table and biting my tongue at the same time,

"Jayne, What in God's name are you doing?" I turned sternly at her and her whole emotion was just a mortified look, she just sat and stared at me then brushed it off and carried on with her work without even muttering a single word to me, I too brushed it off and continued with my work then 10 minutes later she did it again,

"Jayne, if you insist on being disruptive I will have to excuse you from my lesson" Mrs Crow sternly said as she gave us both a warning look she looked away from us and I turned back to Jayne and looked at her and all she muttered was,

"We have to go" her face in shock and still in a state of mortification,

"Jayne you're being ridiculous, What's wrong?" she wouldn't say anything she just sat there and looked at me still mortified,
