Sarah POV

After the prep and the legal documents were signed and filed the twins, Ebony Mai and Isla Bluebell were homed with my parents so they wouldn't have to be left in care, the process only took a couple weeks the agency said they wanted to get it done and dusted with so the twins weren't in care for as long need be. We frequently visited them and watched how they progressed at first it took a lot out of my Mam partially because it had been 17 years since she had to attend to new born babies since Chrissy was the youngest.

It was now nearing the back end of October again; time flies, nothing really exciting happened other than Mam and Dad adopting the twins; and of course Terri's funeral

~Flashback~

"Sarah babe come on we're going to be late" I heard Elise call from downstairs; I glanced at myself in the mirror and at the clothes I was wearing, I was wearing a pant suit with a white blouse underneath it, "Babe" Elise had come up and was now stood knocking at the door,

"I'm coming, I'm coming" I said as I smiled at her,

"You know if it's too much we don't-"

"Who said I didn't want to go" I snapped,

"Don't take your aggravation out on me Sarah I'm only trying to help" she huffed as she slammed the door before I heard her descending the stairs, sighing I made my way downstairs and grabbed my keys before heading for the car.

Elise and I were sat in silence in the car and for the first time it was very tense and awkward,

"I'm sorry-"

"I don't need an apology" she muttered as she kept her eye averted,

"Babe?" I tried to take her hand but she just pulled away from me, "Elise when are you going to understand that Terri and I had been together for six bloody years even though we weren't together she still meant the world to me, not as much as you and Fran granted but six years is a long time for two people to be together and then for it to go tits up you have to appreciate that" I tried reasoning with her,

"Well I'm sorry I can't fill that void" she replied,

"That's not what I meant and you know it-"

"Then what did you mean?" she snapped at me,

"I just meant that if you are willing to devote six years of your meaningless life for somebody obviously that somebody meant and damn lot to you" I said through gritted teeth,

"Sarah seriously if you are still hung up on Terri then maybe we shouldn't have got together maybe you should have stayed with Terri and had your kids you planned to have and be happy with her" her attitude was beginning to really annoy me as though she was the only thing that was important,

"Elise for God sake" I slammed my brakes on jolting us both forward, "When I met you and I first saw you walk into my Biology class I knew we were going to have a relationship more than that of a student teacher relationship should be; I broke it off with Terri because of her constant nagging and bitching about kids and her constant complaining that I wasn't doing anything right, that relationship was over even before I met you, you were just the mile stone I used to finish Terri-"

"Oh so you just used me then?" she snapped,

"Elise stop! I loved you; all I am saying and trying to drill into your head is that six years with somebody made an impact on my life, but the risks we took made a new and exciting journey I knew I wanted to take, made me realise what I was missing just by being with Terri, Can you not see that?" I sat and poured my heart out to her and all she could say was,
