~In the Hospital~

Jayne hadn't been in the hospital long, after she had given birth to Francesca in the middle of Mrs Crows classroom, as we had both arrived Francesca was skated off and we were taken to a side wing of the maternity ward, we had been sat for two hours and Jayne began feeling restless and uneasy,

"Elise, were is she why haven't any of the doctors came and updated us?" she complained as she paced the floor in front of me,

"Jayne will you please come and sit down the doctor said you had to relax and just stay calm I'm sure there is a logic explanation as to why they haven't been and spoke to us" I said attempting to calm her down,

"No, you're right she's fine" she replied as she stopped pacing and stood stock still in the middle of the hospital room,

"Come here" I said as I sat up right and tempted her to approach me, she approached me and sat down in front of me on the bed, I took hold of her cheeks and looked at her intimately,

"Our baby girl will be strong and very pretty just like her Mammy" I smiled placing a kiss on top of her nose, I then spun her round and began to relax her as I rubbed her shoulders and peppered her neck with soft kisses as I did.

A yawn escaped Jayne's mouth I laid her back on the bed and laid behind her and encased her in my arms as we lay in silence.

"Be quiet try not to wake them up" I heard a distinct voice and then shuffling in the room, I stirred and opened my eyes and saw my Mam and Tracy sat on the sofa with a baby in their arms,

"Afternoon sleepy head" Tracy said as she handed me a cup of coffee my voice was too croaky so I just nodded thanks to her as I took a sip to moisten my throat,

"How did you get hold of her?" I asked as I gazed eyes upon Francesca,

"The doctor brought her in, in the incubator about 20 minutes ago" my Mam replied as she handed her over to me. I held her in my arms and looked at her perfect nose, I kissed her forehead just as she opened her eyes; she had Jayne's eyes. I felt Jayne stir and I spun round so I was facing her on the bed,

"Jayne" I whispered to her he eyes flickered open as she looked at me and smiled I averted my eyes down to the wrapped bundle in my arms as I heard Jayne gasp at the sight of her,

"When did she get here?" she asked as she took her from my arms and balanced her on her thighs as she gazed at her in awe,

"About 20 minutes ago" I replied as I kissed her on the head,

"Have you two thought of a name for her?" my Mam asked,

"Francesca Lily Avery" replied Jayne as she looked at my Mam for some reaction,

"I told her she didn't have to have our name but she said she would prefer it, personally I don't think she should carry my name but she said that that was what she wanted" I spoke up,

"Why not simply barrel her name then?" Tracy said, I looked at Jayne and nodded my head,

"Francesca Lily Anchor-Avery" I said aloud, "I don't like it the names don't really fit" I scrunched my nose up at the idea of a barrel name,

"Avery-" the door opened behind us and the doctor walked in and smiled at us,

"Apologies for keeping her too long but we had to run tests and ensure everything was okay and that there was no abnormalities or undeveloped organs and what not" he said as he smiled at us,
