Elise POV

I was laid in hospital with Xavier beside me in a tiny incubator I was laid on my side just watching him,

"Babe he's not going to disappear" Sarah said beside me, sighing I turned back over onto my back,

"I know but he's just so small and so cute" I said as I took her hand and smiled at her, "I'm glad we chose to do this" I said,

"Me too" her finger rubbed against the palm, of my hand,

"He looks so helpless and vulnerable" turning back around to look at him,

"It's fine Elise the doctors said he was a strong fighter even though he was only 3lbs 11oz he's still at high chances of surviving doctors said they wouldn't doubt themselves" she said from behind me; I felt the bed dip beside me and the warmth of Sarah enveloping my back relaxed. Her hand slid round onto my stomach as she rubbed my stomach, "you did so well yesterday" she kissed my temple as she nuzzled her head into my neck, reaching up I took her hand in mine holding her close.

Yawning I turned round in Sarah's arms and pressed my nose against hers,

"Stay here with me" I whispered to her she nodded and kissed me closely,

"Hey babe" she said I opened my eyes and looked at her telling her I was listening, "how come you didn't want him having your surname like Fran's; it's just I was thinking were gonna have two children both with different surnames, it's going to look odd" I looked at her and thought about it,

"Well I just thought that since we're getting married anyway that it would make sense that our baby has our surname" I said she pulled away from me and looked at me,

"What about Fran?" Her face was one of confusion,

"Well...Fran is ours but Xavier has my DNA in him and is apart of us, Fran is apart of Jayne and Joshua" I replied,

"After all we went through with Jayne's Mam and all the arguments you finally show your true colours" I started getting angry at her implications,

"Sarah you don't know what it's like to look at our baby girl and see Jayne it hurts I loved her with all my heart and she was ripped from me" I now had tears running down my cheeks,

"Unbelievable" she muttered, "you know if you didn't want this relationship; you didn't want the child why didn't you say before we started something" she snapped,

"That's not what I'm saying and you know it; I love you to the moon and back you know that if I didn't I wouldn't be wearing your ring" she turned to the door so her back was facing me,

"Elise seriously" she whispered, "what do you want from me?" She turned back round her eyes red and puffy where she had been crying and her arms across her chest,

"A life baby nothing makes me love you more than right here right now with our son and our daughter and in a while our wedding"

"I can't wait to be your wife and get old and wrinkly with you till the day I die" I cried. Her eyes filled with hurt and betrayal,

"So what now?" I was confused on what she wanted me to say,

"We wait until I get to go home then live our lives like a normal family; we get married and live our life to the best we can" her arms dropped from her chest as she sighed,

"I'm sorry" she moved closer to me, "I didn't mean to take it the wrong way" she laid beside me on my hospital bed and snuggled her head into the crook of my neck,
