We are train wreck teens
And we'll never stop
Trynna make it work
But just screwing it up
We're the train wreck teens
And we're never gonna quit
Falling for promises
Of love and all that shit
...
This is what summer feels like
Yelling our angst into the middle of the night
The windows down but we've got no car
So we never actually get very far

We'd run away but we've got no cash
Stuck in this sorry ass town where the roads all suck and the people are trash

So is this what it means to be alive, in a world without love where the music's died. And everyone is working just to get by, doing to what is required to merely survive.
And I gotta say, that's kinda cheap, we were promised a life where we'd follow our dreams, but instead we find out that we were deceived,

We've been told of great opportunities with money and love
But the only way to get there is to go to college and to never give up
Now that doesn't seem so bad if you've got money and power
But for those with empty pockets
It's hard to find work that pays by the hour
So you tell me how we're supposed to get to college
When everyone's telling us that we don't have enough money or knowledge

But hey we made and now that we've finally done it
We got our degree
And now "surprise!" It's suddenly useless and we're back on the street
