He was the home to the dreamer
The one place she's ever rest her head
After darting from one galaxy to the next
He was the place she returned to after tiring of travel
She might've meant something to him.
Perhaps we'll never know.
If she made him feel like there was a place in the universe where he belonged.
If her arms were a wide enough sky to encompass all his constellations.
Or was he just another comet, passing through?
With no glimpse back
At the lives of those he flashed past.
Did his world revolve around her's like she was the sun and he was the earth?
Or was she more like the moon,
Faithfully circling round him night after night,
As his eyes remained fixed
On some other large star?
Did she break orbit when he broke it off?
Or is she still chasing him down to this day
Like the many moons of Jupiter,
Faithfully trailing behind
The one whose heart she couldn't have.
Did she join his list of almost lovers?
And become just a thing of the past?
Does he ever gaze up at her skies and remember the times they had?
These questions remain unanswered.
And to this day we still don't know.
Was she just a fleeting moment
Or did he too, one time, call her home?
