---ALEX---
I walked out of the balcony with a bottle of whiskey, the only thing that will make me feel better after that ordeal with the Devil's Clan but when I came out Emily was already there and smoking. Probably trying to de-stress as well.I sat beside her, poured myself a glass and asked her if she wants any. She nodded. So we started drinking. She wasn't talking at all, she just kept drinking and I kept pouring. Not that it matters because to be honest I was too tired to make conversation and with what happened today there's really nothing to talk about.
I was watching a video on my phone when she started to say something and when I finally looked at her that's when I noticed she seemed drunk. Her eyes were droopy, her shoulders slumped and her voice slurred. I can see her mouth moving and hear her voice but I can't understand what she's saying at all. I asked her to repeat herself, she seemed annoyed with that but nevertheless she tried to straighten up and started over.
"Sabiiiiii kooo, hin-di kita main---tindihan..." She looked at me as if asking for confirmation if I understood her this time. I nodded so she continued.
"Minamaliit mo yuuuuuung, yung ano... yung past ko as a stripper aaaaand as someone... who never finished college, ayaw mo... sakin coz your lolo... si Lolo Al... yung Lolo mo... he likes me... thas whyyy you hate me. Buuuut you... you like the rebel part of me... the one that smokes... and gusto mo na inaalagaan kita... that I... I cook for you and give you whatever... you want and need... peroo you hate it when I clean, it's like... you only like some sides of me and not the whole package..." Through all her slurring I understood what she means to say, she has a point and I think she's trying to be candid with me, something she never did before. I find it kind of entertaining who knew she's frank when she's drunk.
"Why do I need to like you anyway?" She rolled her eyes.
"You're right! You don't have to like me! But! It makes it reaaaaaaaally... annoying that you're so selfish that you can't even try... like try to compromise. And you know what? Maybe... and I mean maybe! That's why. You. don't. have. friends. Yoooouuuu don't like the whole thing you just want... to be there for the good parts and never the bad ones. Parang kapag kumakain ka ng pancit. You pick out most of the veggies like a crazy person." I was about to explain myself but she stopped me, her hand on my mouth.
"I know... I know what you're gonna say... and like I said... you. are. a. crazy. person. If you want to eat pancit without the vegetables then just cook the noodles... But no... coz apparently pancit without the vegetable will taste weird. Well... no. shit. Sherlock... Like seriously what's your damage, Heather?" She removed her hand on my mouth and I can't help but laugh at her.
"Seriously? I know you're not just ranting about my eating habits. What's your point?"
"My point is... Like I get the part about you having family issues, I mean... yooouuu know... you can't even call that. a family... Anywaaaaaaaaaaaay. You're closed off to the idea... of treating any of them as family and I get that... but not all of them were mean... Anthony and his mom were actually nice to you since you guys are now in the same boat. Sa buong pamilya mo they were the only ones who treated us like family... and imbis na i-treat mo din sila ng maganda... you're rude to them..." Will she even remember this in the morning? She's talking a lot.
"How was I rude? I don't even talk to them!"
"Exactly that! They we're trying to make conversation but... you Mr. High and Mighty thinks. you're too good to talk to them..." I looked at her, I'm not really sure how to react anymore. She looks funny but the words she's spouting is making me annoyed and I guess despite being drunk she's making sense and not just saying nonsensical things.
