---NARRATOR---

Emily finished writing down her grocery list, grabbed her phone and sent Alex a message. She asked if he can borrow John for at least an hour. She was about to do some work around the house thinking Alex wouldn't be able to answer his phone because he might be busy at the office but after a few moments her phone rang and Alex's name flashed across the screen.

"Hello?"

"Why are you asking?" Alex asked as he dismissed his secretary who was still briefing her for a meeting in a few minutes.

"Maggo-grocery shopping sana ako, so kung hindi mo pa naman sya kailangan baka pwede nya muna akong samahan, marami kasi akong bibilhin. Mabilis lang naman ako." She explained to him.

"Do you need to go right now?"

"Well, I'm trying manage my time so kung pwede as soon as possible, kung hindi naman just whenever he's available."

"I'll go with you."  

"Why?"

"Why not?" He asked her back.

"You never come with me."

"So ngayon sasamahan kita. Anyway, I should be done here in a few minutes. We can go as soon as I come home." And with that Alex hung up. 

Emily looked at her phone. It's not like she didn't want him to go with her, it's just... Alex has been acting different ever since he came back. He always finds a way to initiate sex and Emily finds herself giving in. She can't help but think they're acting like horny teenagers with how much they've been doing it except for the fact that Alex is no clumsy teenager when it comes to it. He knows exactly how to satisfy and make Emily weak in the knees every time.

It's not just the sex though, it's the after sex part too. Normally they would both lay down separately for a few minutes and then shower individually but recently Alex would hold her, he'd cuddle with her and would only let her go once she complains that she wants to shower, other times he'd even ask her to shower together, last night he even asked her to just stay and sleep with him for the night but Emily always declines and just goes downstairs to shower and sleep in her own bed.

If they're not having sex and just hanging out he's always touching her in some way, for instance they used to sit in separate couches but now he'd sit with her and would always be either leaning on her or touching her. And he'll always be in her space, she'd be cooking in the kitchen and he'd be in the kitchen island on his laptop and working or she'd be in her room just chilling and he'd always find an excuse to make her come out and just hang out with him. 

He's like a puppy who follows her everywhere and anywhere. Emily wonders what's going on in his head and if he's aware he's doing it. Coz every time she asks why, he'd get this look on his face like she's the weird one.

She wants to ask Anthony and Gigi if this is how fuck buddies are but knowing them they'd just end up teasing her and to be honest she feels weird telling them since they're always saying how she's such a good girl and doesn't know how to be the least bit naughty.

So she just rolls with it, it's not like they're doing anything bad. They are married anyway, they  just don't love each other.

Just like Alex said he came home an hour after they talked. He changed his clothes and they went to the grocery store together. When they got there Emily thought he was going to go off on his own maybe even go to the mall attached to the grocery but instead he got her a cart and started pushing it asking her where to go first.

They stopped in front of the seasoning aisle but seeing as it was a little crowded Emily told Alex to just wait for her there because it'll be faster is she just goes and grab it. She was picking out the things she needed when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder.

"Hey, fancy meeting you here." Nathan smiled at her.

"Hi! Naggo-grocery shopping ka rin?" She asked as she saw his basket filled with vegetables. 

"Yea, to be honest I was about to call you. I didn't think I'd see you here though."

"Talaga? Bakit?"

"I'm gonna try making miso soup, pero nakalimutan ko kung anong klaseng tofu yung ginamit mo. I didn't know there were different types. I saw a whole bunch of them and I almost wanted to cry." 

Emily laughed and started explaining the difference with the tofu and which one he should probably get when Alex saw them from the end of the aisle. He immediately maneuvered his way in the aisle and grabbed her waist, his eyes boring into the guy who's trying to flirt with Emily.

"Babe, what's taking you so long?" He whispered into her ear and kissed her cheek. 

"I'm sorry it's because of me, we bumped into each other and I asked for help with something." Nathan answered smiling. 

"Who are you?" Alex asked rudely which earned him an elbow to the side from Emily.

"This is Nathan, nakwento ko na sya sayo diba?" 

"I don't remember. I'm Alex her husband." 

"Nice to finally meet you. Madalas ka naming napapag-usapan nina Anthony." He said to make things lighter but of course Alex doesn't care. 

"Are you done here? I'm hungry." 

"Sasamahan ko lang si Nathan pumili ng tofu..."

"Oh no don't worry. Ako ng bahala, you explained which one I should get anyway. Thank you for the help and nice meeting you." Nathan could feel the intensity in Alex's stare and didn't want to get Emily in trouble or him for the matter so he decided to leave.

"Sigurado ka ba?"

"Yea, don't worry about me. I'll see you guys around." Nathan walked away but Alex was still holding on to her waist.

"Why are you so rude?" Emily asked him as he pulled away from him.

"I wasn't rude." He said nonchalantly as he walked ahead of her.

After paying for their groceries they were about to exit the store when Alex stopped walking shifted all the bags he's holding to his left hand and extended his right to Emily. The way he was holding his hand out made it seem like he was asking for something.

"Oh, bakit? Anong gusto mo?" She asked.

"Give me your hand." 

"Bakit?" 

"I look weird walking by myself." She rolled her eyes at him and instead of arguing with his logic she held onto his hand.

They were walking hand in hand when Emily noticed Nathan by his car loading his groceries, he raised his hand and waved at her, she was about to wave back but Alex would not let go of her left hand so she was forced to awkwardly wave with her right hand that was holding her bags. 

Nathan watched as Emily tried to wave at him while Alex lead the way and dragged her to their car. Based on Anthony's stories he didn't think Alex was the type who'd show sweetness or PDA but here he was looking territorial and giving him the evil eye. Looks like he doesn't appreciate having his wife be friends with another male contrary to what her and her friends believed.

"I guess it was wishful thinking." He mumbled as he got in his car and drove away.
