THE NEXT DAY
Narrative
It was a beautiful Friday morning in New York City, the birds chirping, the streets being very busy in town square just how Ally likes it. "It's a perfect morning..." She mumbled as she drank her coffee.
"Of course, it is, it's the middle of winter, meaning that it will be Christmas in the next couple of weeks," Hayden said, sitting down beside her.
"Yeah that's true, but I think Jack might have some answers," Ally said, putting her coffee down.
"You reckon?"
"Yeah, I reckon, he has been acting suspicious for the past couple of weeks," Ally said.
"Well, maybe you should talk to him today and see if he has any answers for you," He said and Ally shrugged.
"I guess so, but how am I going to do it?"
"I reckon you should just go to his house and ask him questions. If he slams the door in your face, then step up." Hayden said and Ally gives him a peck on the cheek. "You really should be a policeman," Ally whispered, giggling and he chuckles.
"Yeah, but why do you keep giving me affections, we aren't even a couple." He said chuckling nervously and Ally looks at him upset. 'I guess not' She said in her head.
"I should be going back to work. I will see you later." Ally said, dodging his question.
"Ally, please tell me why are you dodging the question!" Hayden raised his voice a little and Ally turned around with an annoyed look on her face.
"It's none of your business!" Ally yelled, before walking out of the store with her coffee.
"Hayden, you shouldn't have yelled at her," Ashley said and the boy sighed. "I really messed up this time..."
"Yeah you did," Ashley noted him and he rolled his eyes.
"Well, I am going to have to talk to her after work." He said and Ashley sighed.
"I think that's the best idea," Ashley said before going over to the till and serving some customers.
'I guess I have to find her.... Again...' He thought to himself before going back to work.
"Well, I guess it's time to go and pay Jack a visit," Ally said while driving around the beautiful city. As she is driving through the beautiful city, she had started to look at the street signs to look for Buffalord street, where Jack lives. "Found it," Ally said, turning into that street, but it looked like a ghost town.
Ally knows this street very well, she always drives through this street and she usually sees children playing, the parents watching them from their porches. But today is different. Since Christmas is coming up in a couple of weeks I thought that there would a lot of children outside making snowmen and play in the snow, but they are either inside or not in the house at all which is making me suspicious.
"HOFFERSON DO YOU READ!" I hear a policeman say into my walky-talky and I answer them straight away. "WHAT'S WRONG!" I yell back.
"There is a murderer in 26 Buffalord Street." A man says and my eyes widen. It can't be...
"Wait, how many people are in the house at the moment?" I asked while putting on my sirens heading towards the house.
"It has two people, Jackson Frost and someone else who is unknown."
"I was actually going to Jackson's house, but I didn't know that there I another person in the house. What does this person look like?" I asked while speeding up the car.
"Black hoodie, baggy blue jeans, black converse. But we can't see the person's face. They have hidden it under their hoodie." It sounds so familiar with the black hoodie? The hood over the man's head. Could it be the man that I am looking for?
"Start to kick down the front door. I am nearly there." I said and I hear an okay which makes me smile. I think today is the day that I find my murderer. As I get out of the police car holding up my gun, I have noticed that my police squad was here. This is probably a very important man that we need to capture.
"So, how is the door going?" I asked one of the men and they look to me disappointed.
"We can't get the door." He said and I groan in annoyance.
"Is there a spare key anywhere so that we can unlock the door?" I asked them and he shakes his head.
"We didn't think of that."
"Well go find a key then!" I say angrily, which causes him to jump and run away to start looking for the key. A couple of minutes later, the same guy comes back holding a spare key in his right hand.
"I found it." He said and I snatch it off him.
"Good." I said, then walked up to the door and I unlock it.
"ALRIGHT FROST, I KNOW YOUR HIDING MY MURDERER!" I scream while walking in and I hear a small laugh from the top of the stairs and I grab my gun heading towards the noise when I see the man in the black hoodie holding a gun.
"FREEZE! YOU ARE SURROUNDED!" I scream and he chuckles.
"Yeah right..." he said and I growl angrily.
"Yeah right, take off your hoodie..." I said stepping forward towards him and he shakes his head.
"No..."
"Then tell me your name," I said angrily and he chuckles again.
"Well, my name is..."
