Tuesday, 29th November 2016 - Why not more fundraisers?
Dear Diary
During the student council meetings, the main focus of the day was how school was almost over for the year, and the success of Friday's fundraiser. The amount of money which they had managed to raise for the charity was quite good. Several thousand dollars had been raised from the gold coin donation of mufti, while several hundred dollars had been made from the various cooking. We were yet to contact the charity organisation that we had been raising the money for, but everybody predicted that they were going to be quite pleased. What I did question, however, was which charity that the money had been raised for. Only two people on the council really knew.
This got me thinking. If people were willing to give large amounts of money to people that they did not really know the organisation of, would they be willing to do the same for me? I felt like this would be a great opportunity which could be used for the Network of Spies. Would we be able to start another of these fundraisers, and give all of the money to my organisation. It would mean that the Network would finally have a source to make money. It's operations would be able to get amazingly larger very quickly.
I talked to the council about organising another one before the end of the year. They seemed open to the idea.
